    Default Dwarf greataxe kensai - Build suggestion?

    Hi All,

    I have an intimitank, that since the recent changes has been somewhat sidelined, and I wanted to try jumping on the TR wagon, and bringing him back as a Kensai, speced in Greataxe (I have recently finished my epic antique greataxe, and would like to keep that around) I havent played a character like this before, and my quick search of the forums didnt return anything obvious, so if anyone has a build they could suggest, or link me to, I would greatly appreciate it, as I can hopefully avoid some of the pitfalls i came accross in my first build.

    2H Kensai's are pretty hard to screw up. You have enough feats to get everything you need. I would also point out that you have no benefit going Dwarf than Hal;f-orc (except hitpoints). The Halforc gets +4 str (2 creation, 2 enhancement) that makes up for the racial axe enhancement dwarves get. Plus halforcs get some fun 2-handed enhancements.

    Fixed. Lets face it, fighters get more feats than they know what to do with them.

    Just a niggling thought ...

    With the Dwarf race, does the damage bonus (+2 from Daxe damage II) get multiplied by THF bonus (ie +2 x 1.5 or 2.0) = 3-4 damage/hit?

    Anyone who knows for sure can confirm or refute this.

    Just a niggling thought - honestly cant remember for sure.

    Sort of right, sort of wrong.

    The enhancement lists different damage numbers for each weapon individually.

    Dwarven Axe Damage I: You gain an additional +1 bonus to damage rolls when using a battleaxe, dwarven axe, handaxe, or throwing axe, and an additional +2 bonus to damage rolls when using a greataxe.

    Dwarven Axe Damage II: You gain an additional +1 bonus to damage rolls when using a battleaxe, dwarven axe, handaxe, or throwing axe, bringing the total increase to 2, and an additional +2 bonus to damage rolls when using a greataxe, bringing the total increase to 4.

    Yet again good info in a timely fashion.

    In relation to OP - something to figure into the scheme of things when weighing Dwarf vs Horc. (Go the Dwarfs!!)

    Half orc is definitely the way to go for dps. They will have +4 higher strength in the end, +4 damage from racial damage enhancements and receive +6 damage from power attack enhancements. Half orcs also receive extra action boosts giving you more haste boosts and power surges.
