It's a part of the game, and always has been.
You know why coaches cover their mouths when talking about the game? You know how they've been doing that just about forever?
It's because Green Bay had a lip reader in the booth with a pair of binoculars, so they would know what play was being run, so everyone started covering their mouths when speaking about plays and strategy.

As an Eagles fan, I'd just like some catharsis. Finally win it all (if not now, when?) and aim all my vitriol at a Philly sports team that deserves it, like the Sixers.

Sad to say that its been too long already and we are due for another Superbowl win. Whats interesting is that the "air" has an odd feeling in it. Usually we are crazy about our sports teams and extremely critical of our teams. This year its as though people are in vacation mode. There are no hostilities towards our teams. Are we too used to winning? Patriots, Celtics, Bruins....we just need the Revolution to step it up a notch. It's eeirily quiet in New England. This morning D&C on WEEI we're saying nice things about New England teams and players. I was shocked! I fealt like something was wrong with my radio. I didn't know what to think. Even the "callers" were nice...It's way too calm in New England...

Pats and Choking---we just went 14-2 in our rebuilding year. Most teams have a rebuilding decade or two, just ask any 49er fan. 2007 Superbowl wasn't a choke. They were beat. It happens. Sadly I wish it happened in the last week of the season, not the last game of the year.

Eagles-You should dominate the NFC. BUT there are teams that know how to beat Vick. We shall see, if Vick can be an accurate pocket passer that rushes sometimes...you have a hell of a chance. If is Vick that still panics and runs too much, yeah the good D's of the AFC are going to eat him alive. I'd love to see a Ravens vs. Eagles game.

Ravens and the SB. My sister is a Ravens fan. Again, the road leads through NE this year (sorry Colts and Steelers fans it is true) and the Ravens have one 1 game vs. NE in their history. You won't get number two this year.

Rams are going to dominate the NFC West.

Seattle don't even have a proper first choice QB....its going to be a tough season for those guys.

erm you do realise that it was a preseason game? which means pretty much nothing?

Sure I think the rams will be the best team in the nfc west, but I wouldnt read too much into the colts losing, all that tells you is they need to get some better depth in their back ups, and a decent back up QB.
