on my first life as a wizard I made boots with 150 SP, conc op, +5 cha Skills, +6 Wis, + Concentration and +10 HP. They served me well on the wizard. Now I've TRed the char twice and done Sorc and Favored soul with him and those boots at level 11 have been HUGE.
For a raise dead clicky, I agree that just about any item, probably a weapon, would be fine for swapping in for the cast. I say weapon because you won't have to cleanse it or another item just to equip and click.
