personally i want to see the implementation of a thf exotic weapon. possibly along the lines of a scythe. could work with quarter staff builds, but give better damage than non exotic counter part, as well as having either both or one of bludgeon/slash damage. plus a x4 crit isnt unthinkable seeing as how a scythe resembles an elongated heavy pick, with sharper head. and finally massive potential for a named scythe suited to a palemaster. who wouldnt want their pm walking around in undead form with a scythe?
also redo on shuriken as well. requires a special feat for weapon that does less damage than normal throwing weapons. some enhancements improve shuriken over normal counter parts, but yet to meet anyone whos actually taken one

any of the 20 different polearms would be cool. Sai. Nunchucku's. Flail. Katana. Trident. What ever happened to that double ended orc club that was in the auction house for years with nothing available for it? Always wanted to see what it was gonna be =)

I've always been fond of the Glaive, so I'll throw in support for that, and pole-arms in general.
Scythes would be cool, but with that x4 crit, won't it become the new go-to weapon for 2handers?
In 3.0 there were claws, can't remember what they were called, but they had a 17-20/x2 crit range (I think it was a typo), I believe it was in the fighter book (Sword and Fist?).

as to the second point of ur post, i agree that that could become a factor, and perhaps the scythe be given STR to hit like most weapons, but DEX to damage due to the precision needed to do damage with such a weapon. or possibly STR to damage and need min base DEX to utilize the x4 crit, and just x3 otherwise.(note: i handle weapons regularly in real life, and the DEX to damage would be realistic even, cause if u rnt coordinated ull hurt ur self worse than the enemy with a scythe. the real weapon needs good balance of DEX and STR so if game one needed that it would be accurate, and solve problem Deanarth mentioned)*wow look at me giving STR and DEX values to real life* XD

something else is maybe giving the shield some actual combat value besides defense. real life warriors that use shields commonly use the shield as much as, if not more than, their actual weapon.< http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRZ22UCnMNk > not best video out there, but u get the idea.
