Also getting this problem. Quit game and all i get is a black screen. I have to ctrl alt del to close it.
On windows 7 64bit.
Also an issue for me as well. also have to use task manager to close it.
Love this game to death, but bug after bug after bug and repeatedly being told to bug report things just to not ever see them on the KI list, nor even get acknowledged even AFTER Turbine reps say to report them is really ruining the game for me.
We need a bug report forum that players are not allowed to post in, but where a bug report is automatically posted to and when we open said thread, we cannot comment on the forum, but we can click an option in the different threads that is something like "also experiencing this issue" so that they can get a decent tally on the number of players a posted bug affects.
Never going to happen, it makes too much sense for this mmo.
Also have this. XP.
I don't have a zerging problem.
I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.
...for quite some time now, in one form or another. It gets worse in game as you use a higher DirectX version.
My Equipment: Asus P5NE-SLI MB. Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 Ghz.
EVGA GeForce GTS 450 video card. SB Creative X-Fi PCI sound card.
4 GB ram. Win7 Pro 64Bit
On Direct X 9 occasionaly something in the game will cause the video driver to reset, which is logged in Win7 Action center as a BCCode 117 error with nvlddmkm.sys. it will black screen for a second, then go back to the game normaly.
On DirectX10 I will get the same driver reset error, same code, but normaly the video card is unable to redraw the game, so I will have the game left running, can still hear sounds and am active in the game, but no video, only desktop screen with game cursor.
On DirectX11 Same reset error, same code, will normaly lockup on a black screen and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del and force close the game from Task Manager.
Started after U9 and seemed to get more frequent after U10, also about the same time a new Nvidia driver set came out, after using Driver Cleaner and reinstalling the video drivers, the problem with driver reset seems to be a bit less, but I have also noticed that on Lamannia useing DX10 if I alt-tab out of the game, then come back I get kind of a reverse-gamma issue, where when I come back the game is alot darker than when I left, and none of the in-game brightness option sliders will move.
I also have the error on exit from within the game, it appears the game almost closes completely, but where on live servers it goes to a black screen and then exits, on Lamannia it will goto a black screen, attempt to exit, then give me a windows notification about the program having an error and needing to close. Once I say yes to this it drops to desktop normaly without the bright gamma issue some have described.
