    Smile Epic server

Seems to me that once you reach level 20 the game becomes less interesting. I see some players that run epic quests to get epic equipment so that they can more easily run eipc quests and raids. Problem for me is that running epic quests to get equipment so I can more easily run epic quests is a little fruitless and, since I very seldom fail in a raid with non-epic equiped players, it also seems fruitless to run eipc to equip for raids. My idea is this. Start a DDO Eipc game. The game would have its own servers and be a separate charge. This way you would run your characters up to level 20 in DDO. Nothing would change there. You could still run epic and better equip. Once ready, you could transfer the character to the DDO Eipc servers at no charge. You could not transfer back. Then you could run the character in epic to level 40. All equipment, end rewards, etc would be scaled appropriately in the epic version. My feeling is that some players would transfer their characters to DDO epic and quit DDO, some would never transfer to DDO eipc. Since the only way to get to DDO eipc would be to run the character to level 20 in DDO, I suspect most players would be paying for both. Maybe even offer a discount if playing both. I would suspect that, initially, they woudn't even have to have new quests on epic. Same quests that are in DDO but scaled to level 21.

So you have the choice of sticking with people you know and enjoy playing with or moving along and finding new people to play with, and if those new people suck you can't go back? I don't think I like that idea. Besides, once you play some significant time at level 20 you realize that most people that get there don't know what they're doing anyway. Reaching level 20 means you earned 1.9 million experience points - it doesn't mean you learned anything along the way.

Besides, you could always TR or roll an alt (or twelve)

You should just TR. Lvl to 20 again and then if tyou want to TR again. Don't even bother with epics
For some, hope is not enough.

    This is a non-issue.

lvl 20 -> TR or do some fun stuff (hang out in the Harbor, PvP, events, hide'n seek, raffles, ...) or play another game.

maybe they should make a ultra elite server, where all the ultra elite people can go, you know the ones with every piece of epic gear, so many past lives that they could qualify for completionist 3 times over if they had taken 1 life in each class. There they can go back to the good old days where, you lost levels xp for deaths, where mobs can one shot 1200 hp barberians with physical damage, or what ever. That way they can have all the challeges they want and wont have to worry about noobs slowing them down or cramping their stlye. Wont have many people to show off to though, as everyone there will be pretty much at the same level.

You think D&D is out of balance between 1 and 20. Its cookies and milk compared to how out of line the game is between 20 and 40. Good Luck, heh.
