    Default Sub-Zero monk themed.

    Curious thought after watching many hours of mortal kombat. Would it be possible to any degree to replicate with a monk class that of sub-zero? Thinking either a water stance or wind stance coupled with finesse for to-hit, possibly wisdom focused for stuns and quivering palm? Would take ninja spy prestige or possibly no prestige? And would be human race.

    Any input from community on just my thrown together thoughts?

    Stunning Fist and Stunning Blow could replicate the ability to "freeze" a mob. I also believe there is a finishing move (water/dark?) that paralyzes mobs. Quivering Palm could also be added the list i guess. I think it would be fairly easy to do a str/wis build though instead of using finesse. that would allow you to use Stunning Blow (str based) as well as Stunning Fist (wis based).
    The Shintao line also grants some abilities that stun, or have a stun-like effect. You could go light or dark path with this and either would work.

    i understand how going for a str/wis build using both stunning blow and stunning fist would work. However if going strength based wouldn't that slightly pigeon hole me towards fire stance?

    Default Cryomancer Sub-Zero

    I found this to be an intriguing challenge. Using the information provided here, I think I have captured the essence of the character if not his exact powers. This is by no means an epic-viable build. He'd have extreme difficulty in Shavarath but be proficient enough in Gianthold and probably the Vale. This is pure flavor.

    The build relies heavily on skill boosts and button mashing to get anything done. Some of my choices may not seem obvious but do fit the character as well as the DDO system allows. For the non-ice spells, consider them more icey-oriented such a Glitterdust being billions of tiny ice crystals all reflecting at different wavelengths or Tenser's building an ice-mecha suit around him. At least that's how I'm going to view it. Feel free to rip it apart, flame my ignorance and make critical suggestions.

    i like it lol. been trying to create a build slightly like that since i put out the challenge. either go pure monk focusing on water stance. Or a 12/6/2 build going monk/sor/fighter. So far ive only gottent he pure build written out and am having issues with the multiclass, but who can ignore icy fist from the savant pre

    i was thinking more of a pure monk with 2x gs ice II kamas and freezing ice guard
    to simulate the freezing proc

    I considered the 12/6/2 split myself but thought the loss of Water Savant II and a 7th level spell too important to forgo. I know Prismatic Spray may not be the greatest or most well thought of spell, but it really fits the character when envisioned as a spray of ice crystals which wreak havoc on an opponent . In my mind Sub-Zero, as a Human-Cryomancer hybrid, would have at least Water Savant II in order to utilize his freezing abilities to their logical maximum. I know my build will never be satisfactorily "DDO" but he's pretty close to the MK version. And the WSS feat... that's about as close as I could get to using a Kori Blade. 'Taint no way a monk is going to stay centered with a great sword.

    Well if you do go for a 12sor/6mnk/2fighter type build you can utilize short swords since those would be considered ki weapons from ninja spy. And those could be a very close thing to kori blade without spending 3 feats?
