I figured out it regens songs like every five minutes.. but I can't figure out if I have to continuously hold the weapon for 5 minutes. If I say have it in my off-hand with a wand or something for damage and say. i have to switch to my main hand and a shield for some more protection.. does the time for song regen like.. reset and I have to wait another 5 minutes with it in the main hand?

I'm pretty sure it resets when you change hands or weapons. What level are you and are you running out of songs?

Ah ok.. well actually.. I don't run out of songs.. I'm lvl 8 virtusoso.. I know at lvl 12 I'll have it innate anyhow with vert II prestige. Most of the time the party kills everything before I get an enthrallment song out... Does the -2 to will saves and attack still apply to red names?

I'm not sure if the -2 still applies to red names. I don't believe it does but would need to check. Currently I have no virts to verify. TBH I normally play spellsingers or warchanters.

Don't bother with enthrallment unless the party needs it. Normally a person can just heal them and save songs for when they become important. I imagine you will enjoy capering once it becomes available. Fast to use and nice range.

If you get the stormsinger cloak that also comes with anthem and you don't need to worry about swapping weapons. Just a thought.

Yes I'm enjoying a bard virt pretty well.. your advice is sound. My enthrallment has saved the party a couple of times.. I quit using it every battle.. only when it seems like we're being overwhelmed[ or that undead fascinate song for the undead].
