    Default A kid friendly game

I have a 7 year old son who wants, so badly, to play DDO, but I am not comfortable with him in an MMO setting at this point, so I haven't let him play.

I would like to find a good DnDish game that he and I can play together on the Xbox 360. I have been looking at Daggerdale. It's simple enough for him to understand the premise/ story and it has local co-op, so we can have some father and son game time. (that doesn't involve hedgehogs)

Do you have any recommendations for games that would fit the bill?

    Thanks.

There are a ton of old D&D games many are free downloads that you can get for a PC. Some are mutiplayer if you have 2 computers and a lan. But these older games can be a bit tricky to get them to work on new computers.
Still most can be run just need the proper patches and supporting software.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Dark Alliance 2 were decent hack and slash co-op games. They both were on the Xbox, so if you find them I think the 360 will play them.

Also there was Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone, another hack and slash game that was more like the Lord of the Rings hack and slash games.

I recommend staying away from Daggerdale, it was a flop and received some of the lowest ratings for a game.

My boys (8 & 10) like the old Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale games. You can download them pretty cheaply from GOG.com.

I know you said X-box 360 - but... try Wizard 101 on the PC. My kids (5,7,and 11) have all loved it and it's big time kid safe. And free!
