Hello, i am Wondering if a Bard/Rogue (Self Buffer) is Better than a Ranger/Rogue (Self Buffer)?
Ive Played Cleric Which i like just cant heal everyone i have troubles... So i am wondering which is better?
Bard:
Pros:
-Soundburst (Love it)
-Self Heal
-Otto's dance
Cons:
-Hits just not hard and not as often
-Cant Summon anything or do some good damage spells or combat
-Not alot of Survivabillity
-Light Armor

Ranger:
Pros:
-Hits All the Time
-Evasion at Lvl 9 and TwF at Lvl 2
-Can use Bows and Melee
-Self Buffs and Can Summon
-Decent Amount of Health
Cons:
-Light Armor
-Use Wands as Heals
-Dosn't get spells till Lvl 4
-Not alot of Spells to Pick


Quistions:
-Can someone tell me which one is better in melee (Self Buffer and Some Group)?
-Which one will Survive More?
-Can i get Maybe Fireball with either Class?
-Which Race Would be Best for the Combo of Either Ranger/Rogue or Bard/Rogue?
-Which one is EASIER TO PLAY?

Bard (warchanter) is good melee, ranger with good build like exploiter is GREAT melee. Bard give a GREAT contribute to party with songs, ranger can give some buffs.
In short, if you are more party oriented, go with melee bard (16bard/2fighter/2rogue), if you are more self oriented go with builds like exploiter

Both, it's only a matter of self healing

fireball is one of the worst spell of ddo lol

warchanter bard could be half-orc, half-elf, human or halfling. Exploiter ranger could be human or halfling.

Well both are good depending on what you want as long as you have a decent build to go along with it.

Some of your pros and cons are largely driven by build choice and are not true unless you build them that way.

If you want evasion you have to wear light armor so its not really a con. Its a side effect of wanting another class ability.

1. ranger would prob be better in melee
2. both have good survivability as long as you dont dump con
3. neither gets the spell but with rogue on both you could umd fireball wands but that is pretty much waste of time.
4. any.
5. both would be pretty easy to play. Since you said had problem with cleric I would lean ranger for you. It has fewer spells and abilities to deal with.
