Level 3 spells

It won't let me prep L3 spells, saying my ability score is too low. I'm assuming this is WIS, which is 12 atm.

Can anyoe tell me what it needs to be, cos there doesn't seem to be any sign of that in the spells section of the character sheet...

to cast a spell, you need your casting stat to be 10 + spell level.

As others said, (10 + spell level) WIS for rangers.

Keep in mind that everything counts toward that score, i.e. base WIS, enhancements, gear, even temporary buffs as potions of Owl's Wisdom.

Effectively you could start a Ranger with a WIS 8 - get a +6 item and still be able to cast level 4 spells (a lot of customs rangers do that i'm led to believe!)

well I ditched my wis +1 item and crafted a +3 on so that'll heep me in spells for a while!
