Default Experienced Bards please guide my way

I would love a little guidance for my L12 TR Warchanter Mantrax (my first Bard) from our Bardic community please

In quests I sing the songs, cast the buffs, melee at the front, carry out spot healing, raise some deaths, keep the Hage up, displace the main hitter, keep the mobs off the back line, throw out some CC and then start the cycle all over again.

Where am I going wrong? Everything I read about Bards mentions piking yet I work harder on my Bard than any other class Ive run.

I feel like Im letting the whole Bard community down with this.

Have I missed a 'piking' feat whilst levelling or is there a piking enhancement that Ive missed? Or even another subtype - the Pikechanter perhaps?

Ive reread the Bard love guide many times and dont see it anywhere.

Could it be a race restriction issue? - my Bard is a Warforged - perhaps they're unable to pike due to the game mechanics or perhaps its a known bug?

Im beginning to resign myself to the fact that I'm just hopeless at being a Bard.

    :-)

    Bard love

You're a disgrace to the rest of the bards who pikes!

Seriously though, I'm not a bard expert. But I do pike a bit on my spellsinger bard - I mostly sing. Then pass out blur if the arcane doesn't do it. Ask if anyone wants GH. Then rage and haste and go

Repeat cycle when songs/haste runs out.

Oh, i can heal or melee too, but in most groups I run the clerics usually keep everyone healed or healed just 1 second after me. So I stop healing unless the cleric is out of sp. CC is not that important, most melee and arcane already would have killed them for CC to play any importance.

Basically, I step in when someone else falls. Other than, it's piking time. This of course, could be the main difference - the groups that you run with.

    Smile piking bards?!

Who would have thought?! We don't pike! We uhm just twiddle our thumbs and look handsome or pretty and marvel at our own awesomeness.

(Don't let the masses know what we really do in a quest. It's a secret. )

    I know what I'm TR'ing my cleric into . . .
Quomodo cecidisti de cælo, Lucifer, qui mane oriebaris. corruisti in terram, qui vulnerabas gentes.
Qui dicebas in corde tuo: In cælum conscendam, super astra Dei exaltabo solium meum.

It's tough to pike when you're too busy soloing everything.

A bard that sings and pikes is still worth a raid slot in a lot of content. Just.

A bard that sings and does more is sometimes a party MVP.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

Bah, don't raise people's expectations of bards. I'll have to start doing more than song-piking, then. Meh.
