I wanted to start a general ranged thread. I am hoping to get impressions from others on the current build since my experience has been mixed.
Since the RoF decrease (compared to Live) has been well documents I think we can stay away from that aspect.
I have spent he last couple of days on my 6 Rogue, 7 Fighter repeater character and have noticed odd behavior.
1. The reload animation is not separated from the attack animation for me. I have tried a single click from both the mouse and the keyboard (with AutoAttack OFF) but the result is the same...a 3 round burst followed by a reload. The reload can at times be interrupted by damage but it is not consistent. I guess it has something to do with when you are hit/damaged but not 100% sure.
2. I have noticed that (ranged) tracking is much worse on the current build. Once I initiate an attack v. a mob, do some damage and it starts to move the next 1-3 volleys will disappear even if that mob is running straight at me. I have not tested bow so hopefully someone else will have some input to determine if this is just a repeater problem or all ranged (or just me).
3. Once a mob gets into melee range and starts beating on me, my first volley disappears. The second will usually connect but if the mob moves around at all the first volley after they stop always disappears.
I bugged item 1 but have held off on 2 and 3 in case, for some reason, no one else is having the same problems.
I have found that the repeater fix works relatively well though occasionally a shot will disappear. I have not noticed any real pattern though.
