The arcane archeologists (by sigtrent) on this page is a 32 point build, Int and Con are already maxed, so I don't know what you would do with the extra points, maybe str for carrying capacity / early melee damage.

Yes, that build is good except that it doesn't show taking any SLA's for CC, which is a mistake. You should take a secondary school that gets you either a Web SLA or Hypno SLA.
    On Thelanis: Survo ... Wattr ... Tigerpalm ... Cranefist ... Hobbson ... Grayed ... Shadowstance ... Smashcut

    Default Saw that thread

Was looking for something showing the sla's as mentioned above. Would consider a pure wiz build too but thinking the 2 rogue levels might be fun just to get through my wiz life and back to a clonk

I ran a wiz/rogue on my completionist toon and personally I wish I had stayed pure wiz. Even with my GS Conc Opp SP item, and Torc I still felt that my SP pool was greatly diminished because of the 2 rogue levels.

There are very few quests that you will appreciate rogue abilities, Von5, Crucible, and Monastery are the ones that come to mind first, but I know there are a few others. In pretty much every other quest in the game though, you will appreciate having higher DCs, more SP and greater spell variety.

I did my wiz/rogue as evocation/enchantment. The evo SLA's were ok, maybe even pretty good for soloing at mid level, but with the new DOT spells I see no need for those anymore. Currently I am leveling up a 36 pt pure wiz and have no problems using firewall or icestorm on trash and DOTS on bosses. You said that you want a wiz life before you TR into a clonk and my advice is to stay pure.

Thank you for your perspective. I had not ruled out going pure and playing a sorc now (with torc and coc opp) has given me some bad sp management habits . The biggest reason I would consider the rog levels is for bonus exp while levelling. Thanks again

I need to be a wiz in one of my lives. So i will tr once i cap anyways...I prefer 18wiz/2rogue for faster lvling(xp bonus).I completely agree benifits with pure wiz. May be OP requirement is same as mine.

Below is the build I went for. I'm currently level 19, and it is a powerful build for soloing and survivability. I went Archmage to make up for the lost SP due to missing two Wizard levels. You could put your extra points into Charisma to up your UMD a few points, and that will make you even more flexible.

I only took SF: Enchant, but since you have Past Life: Wizard, you may not need the Greater Spell Penetration feat, so I switched it out with GSF: Enchant. This will give you some good DCs on both Necro and Enchant.

    Level 20 True Neutral Warforged
    (2 Rogue \ 18 Wizard)
32 point build. For 34+, max con and rest into str.

    Starting
    Base Stats
    Abilities (Level 1)
    Strength 14
    Dexterity 8
    Constitution 18
    Intelligence 18
    Wisdom 6
    Charisma 6

    Level 1 (Rogue)
    Feat: (Selected) Toughness

    Level 2 (Wizard)
Feat: (Wizard Bonus) Insightful Reflexes - the heart of this build

    Level 3 (Wizard)
Feat: (Selected) Mental Toughness - Necessary for Archmage PRE, gives SP early.

    Level 4 (Wizard)
    Ability Raise: INT

    Level 5 (Wizard)

    Level 6 (Wizard)
    Feat: (Wizard Bonus) Maximize Spell
Feat: (Selected) Spell Focus Enchantment - Could go necro here, but I've found enchant more useful at low levels

    Level 7 (Wizard)

    Level 8 (Wizard)

    Level 9 (Rogue)
    Feat: (Selected) Empower Spell
Here is where you can take the Archmage PRE. Make sure you have the points in Improved Concentration, Energy of the Scholar, and Wizard Int. You should have those last 2 anyway!

    Level 10 (Wizard)

    Level 11 (Wizard)
You should get Archmage II here.

    Level 12 (Wizard)
Feat: (Wizard Bonus) Spell Focus: Necromancy
    Feat: (Selected) Spell Penetration

    Level 13 (Wizard)

    Level 14 (Wizard)

    Level 15 (Wizard)
Feat: (Selected) Greater Spell Focus: Necromancy
We take the GSF here so we can also take Archmage III PRE. Up until now, I wouldn't take any SLA (except hypnotism) or Archmage spell focuses for necro. You don't need the extra DC at lower levels, and you really need the extra spell points. In the next few levels, you'll start needing those DC bonuses so your FOD and COD land.

    Level 16 (Wizard)

    Level 17 (Wizard)
    Feat: (Selected) Heighten Spell
This might seem a bit late for heighten, but it's really tough not to have the rest of the above feats, especially with the AM PRE requirements. You get AM IV this level.

    Level 18 (Wizard)
Feat: (Selected) Greater Spell Focus: Enchantment
At this point, it's nice to have the SLA: Hypnotism. It's heightened hypno and costs 1sp. Keeps their willsaves down for discoball, mass hold, etc.

    Level 19 (Wizard)

    Level 20 (Wizard)
    Ability Raise: Intelligence
    And AM V.
