    Default Reaver's fate

    So I tried reaver's fate elite on lama to see how stronger reaver is now. By my estimations his melee dmg is about 10-20% higher than currently on live server. And he has about 10x more HP. I was able to get reaver to about 80% HP by the time I got fly(and I didn't went easy on him at all like I do on live). On live he is usually at 20% at this time. And when I got back from pulling the switch I got hit with disintegrate(failed save) for 500dmg and that killed me(as cleric I have only 519HP with rage and yugo pot).
    I think the disintegrate is doing too big dmg considering that you can't rez anyone. And with reaver having that many HP that could be a big problem, it will take longer for full grp to kill him=> he will oneshot almost anyone=>fewer ppl doing dmg=>so on. I think it needs more testing but..
    what do you think, it is better now or worse?

    edit: also i think that failed save was 2+26 so his DC is probably little higher

    Excellent! The role of tanking the reaver is now not something I roll a d12 for to assign to a random party member.

    He got maximize, empower, and disintegrate on elite? Love it.

    Not sure I would got that far, but I would be in favor of after a couple of "free" wrong selections, the party starts to take damage after each wrong solution.

    Well... they do have the one floating skull or 3 in the ceiling. Could have them throw a power build discharge after.... the first column is filled up (left hand side) and with every pull you get zapped on the right?

    Is it just elite[16] (and hard[15] to a lesser extent) that changed?

    My group tends to run this at least once at level on each difficulty for experience on our TR's. I don't want to see this raid become nearly impossible to do at the bloody level it's intended just because of capped characters with massive epic gear making it appear 'easy'.

    Well, it was on Elite, so technically level 16. Level 16 Raid is only a level below HoX/VoD Normal. And while some people *do* solo these, you don't expect someone to casually go in there @ level 20 to grab a completion.

    I'd like to see how a full 12-man does in there on Elite. If it is a challenge for 12 level 18-20s, then it is silly. There is a very large margin between challenge and snoozefest, however, so we'll see.

    And to those asking for punitive measures when inputting incorrect answers into the solver : You get one "freebie". Every other incorrect answer spawns another wave of Air Elementals. If these do not seem challenging enough, it is because we're a bunch of geared-out level 20s running a level 16 raid.

    You can rez the party, you just have to navigate a different route, and destroy the crystal in the penalty box. Doing so will resurrect everyone.

    Define geared out. Currently on live, my lvl 20 ranger (standard 32 pt elf, no TR), AA, can solo normal and hard Reaver. The most epic piece of gear she has is a Lit II bow. (I've taken her out to shav only once or twice. so no gear from there.) No need for +3s in every stat when +2s make them even. AC in the mid 40s (I hate that freaking grind) and HP of 290.

    I don't even bother with dragontouched, I stay in black dragon leather because you just never see anyone wearing it.

    The clue of knowing what to do and how to react does wonders.

    Reaver's Problem is not and has never been the numbers, it's the disastrous design of the encounter/dungeon.

    Now the boredom for the DPS/Casters takes longer and healers are eating the dirt when the tank fails a save (spike damage galore). I'll see how it works on live but from the info above I strongly disapprove.

    Well, at least they didn't give the Reaver badges to distribute too. Maybe they could have Sully pop in when the Reaver gets to 50%...

    Oooh, and the Reaver could cast Banishment, and get 25% of his health back when anyone dies, too!?!?!?!

    Well that would make solvers even MORE useful, since they usually take longer to solve the puzzle overall but do it in fewer solutions.

    Perhaps an AoE electricity effect that starts hitting the group after you make your first guess and is increased in power over time.

    I think Turbine needs to stop with the half-measures and just re-tool the levels for all the raids into a progression similar to Devil Assault with epic-like tech for the loot in order to make them all relevant near and at endgame.

    It's stupid that a level 16 raid has an attack that deals 500 damage a shot.

    More HP is good, though, as that will force the group to beat him down while waiting for orbs to light, rather than sitting in the corner and going AFK.
