    Default strange hireling bug

the hireling 'graphic aspect' stops to move

if a hirelings enters a SECOND dungeon instance, the 'graphic aspect' of the hireling will standing still at the entrance.
The hireling seems to follow you 'invisible' and to do all what he is suspected to do.

Just summon a hireling in wilderness area (e.g. Korthos island) and enter a dungeon or run the depths chain.

Encountered with gold seal lvl 4 hirelings 'Burak Dazhbog' and 'Tesztra'. Both were summoned and both seem to be frozen at the entrance, but followed 'invisible'.
The 'call hireling' command on the hireling toolbar will teleport them to you, where they will be standing frozen again .
    (bug reported)

Furthermore: how can i dismiss a hireling with the new UI?

btw: the korthos quest 'Heyton's rest' got a nice graphic update!

I've noticed the same, though I didn't realize the hireling was invisibly following me. Tested with Byron Scoutsword, Virgil Anvilhands, and Dryad Willowisp.

As for dismissal, if you're like me, you moved your map icon to its old location. This also happens to be the new default location for the party, so check under your map.

Related to the hireling's graphic position, you can temporarily reset it by telling the hireling to hold its ground. It will then display its current location (which apparently is [virtually] always at your present location).

Do the monsters still attack the hireling? If not this might be a feature...

They do, but from what I've seen, the hirelings don't take any damage. Don't get your hopes up, though; I didn't see my hireling deal any either (at least the melees didn't).

I have no need for melee hirelings And if they don't do any damage then they might be more useful in Let Sleeping Dust Lie.
