Was playing with BDB yesterday on Lama. Was sort of sad that you can only get BDB to CL 28 as a fully geared/fully spec'd acid caster whereas ice savants can get polar ray up to CL 30.

Mostly just due to the epic abishai 5-set changing from stacking +3 conjuration caster level to nonstacking (diabolist) +3 conjuration DC's. Why did they switch that again?

Infused Chaosrobe 1) is evocation only and so wouldn't help BDB and 2) doesn't stack with the Staff of Arcane Power since they're both "augmentations". Plus, I put my greater arcane lore on my armor.

The bard population these days in epics and raids appears to me to be: 95% warchanters, 3% spellsingers, 2% didn't take anything because they're protesting the worthlessness that is Virtuoso and/or they are a "generalist"(naive) and don't do PRE's. Also... I hadn't heard if they changed the spellsinger DC song to stack with "Augmentation bonus". It didn't originally.

There's also the archmage 5 tod set proc'ing bonus that does stack with augmentation... but we're talking savant sorcs here.

Maybe the new raids in this new crafting house will have craftable stacking caster level stuffs so my acid savant can push BDB to 30!

Above is the link to a google docs spreadsheet showing the breakdown of dps for each of water, earth, and air savants after the introduction of Black Dragon Bolt.

3 Element sheet assumes
Full enhancements in primary element, full damage enhancements and 1 each of crit chance and crit damage enhancements in each of the two secondary elements.

2 Element sheet assumes
Full enhancements in both primary and secondary element

Both are equivalent investments in AP. Actually the 2 element is 1 more AP than the weaker spread of 3 elements.

This spreadsheet is easier to modify with new data than re-editing every post.

Currently the spreadsheet represents the best data and calculations I have up to this point, but might still change depending on how Mr. Cow and others respond to my questions and inquiries, or if anyone has any relevent input on calculation errors or erroneous input data.

Where are you getting your multiplier numbers from. By my calcs, the multiplier for max enhancments, a 75% clicky, and greater lore should be 8.8, not 10.2.

Could you be so kind as to show me the math so I can see where we differ?

I idiotically multiplied the +75% item enhancement bonus to the +50% enhancement system bonus instead of adding the two together. Thanks for bringing it up.

Tested it a bit in Epic Chronoscope with my earth savant and it seems to do similar damage to Acid Rain but to a single target.
Once it goes live it will be a nice addition but not overpowered.

Components: Focus, Somatic, Verbal
Level: 8 Wiz/Sor
Range: 60
Metamagics: Maximize, Empower
School: Conjuration (currently incorrectly listed as Evocation on Lammania)
Effect: Deals 1 to 3 acid damage per caster level (up to a max of 25 to 75 at caster level 25) every 2 seconds for 6 seconds to an enemy with a powerful bolt of corrosive acid. This spell has double range.
