If you know exactly what it is worth, then why don't you put a price on it?
I am interested, but I don't really know how much it's worth.

Updated my original post with what Vint got for his. If you think it is BS then contact Vint. Don't trust him then I'll PM you the name of the buyer and you can talk to that person.

You can also see the offer that Vint turned down. That person has already made me that offer so if you want my ioun stone you need to do better. BTW it sounds like you were able to take advantage of someone who didn't know what they had. Grats!

    No i don't want you're ioun stone.

And the person i traded with perfectly knew what an ioun stone is worth.

IMO it's not worth 6 lrg scales (and 2 mil plat and other ings).

It's a very rare item and you do whatever you want to do with it, even sell it for a bunch of scales!.. And yes i know someone is going to buy it for that price.

I would like to make an offer for your rare item. But let me see if I understand what constitutes a fair value, because I don't want to take advantage of you, and I don't want to be taken advantage of myself:

Assume a person "Max Buyer", lives somewhere on our server and has a personal taste for your rare item. It's probably safe to assume that Max has done quite a bit of rare item and epic scroll farming, and has so many of them that when Max wants something, Max will outbid anyone to get it, with no concern at all about how far above a fair value he must go to get the item he wants.

Given the existence of Max, what is the logical basis for saying that this rare item he desires has a particular fair value? How would that determination be made in the absence of any pricing data other than what Max has previously purchased these items for?

Make your offer. If I don't like it I'll reject it and you can continue to look for someone selling a pale lavender ioun stone at a lower price. I've put down what my guildie just got for his stone and I've told you what the current offer is on mine. Either beat that offer or don't waste my time.

If one sold for that much, and there's another offer near that amount, maybe that really is what it's worth and not the result of a rich outlier. Very rare very useful item! If I needed another that doesn't sound like too high a price to me. I'm not poor but not a fatcat either.

I just accepted an offer for exactly what Vint sold his for.

I will officially close this thread once the transaction has been made.
