Eladrin said the armor enchant haste can't be dispeled by beholders also, so that's kind of a nice perk to it also. I wonder if it can be dispeled at all? If a beholder can't do it, then it probably just can't be dispeled.

Seems like an interesting tool to have in the toolbox.

I will bet artificers will not want to carry this spell.. casting this on all 4-6 party members (or 12 in a raid) from a small mana pool will be rather ex*****ive. If you think the whining about carrying haste on wiz/sorcs was too much, wait till this comes out.

If the scroll for it can be bought from vendors on live...a lot of people would just UMD it themselves, it would still be close to 3 mins at caster level 9 from scroll. Probably won't be sold at vendor, I can dream though.
I think many artificer would carry this and should carry this. Buffing people is a part of this game and seperates good players often from shoddy or selfish players. In a tower raid with boots of anchoring this is a great spell. Every artificer should be willing to throw this spell on all the melee in that raid extended for 10 minutes where nobody has to take their boots off.
Norg Fighter12/Paladin6/Monk2, Jacquiej Cleric18/Monk1/Wiz1, Rabiez Bard16/Ranger3/Cleric1, Hangover Bard L20, Boomsticks Fighter12/Monk 6/Druid 2, Grumblegut Ranger8/Paladin6/Monk6, Rabidly Rogue L20, Furiously Rogue10/Monk6/Paladin4, Snowcones Cleric 12/Ranger 6/Monk 2, Norge Barbarian 12/FVS4/Rogue4. Guild:Prophets of The New Republic Khyber.
Every artificer will have this spell. It looks like they want artificer to have some sort of melee or ranged capability to go with the laser cannon, so even a solo artificer would want the 15% haste. Will have to see what other buffs they get that are effected by extend before I would decide if extend would be worth the feat for an artificer. 5 min haste is pretty good already, if that's the only use for extend on an artificer I would take some other feat.
Assuming they follow the PnP outline, there will be no need to "decide" whether or not you take Extend.
Artificers, as per PnP, get a free feat every 4 levels starting at level 4. That's five free feats. And those feats are only useable on metamagics and other feats which don't exist in DDO.
So Extend, Maximize, Empower, possibly Empower Healing (for scroll/wand use.... yes, they can meta scrolls and wands in PnP....), possibly Heighten or Quicken.
They'd still have 7 feats left to choose for other purposes.
I totally understand the value this spell holds... but the artificers will also have other buffs too. They will possibly have the ability to add "holy" or "anarchic" to an existing weapon also. So in a TOD run, 8-10 players with extended haste, 8-10 players with extended "anarchic/holy" on say 12ish weapons (TWF need it twice), now the artificer has just burned through a huge amount of mana and the fight hasn't even started.
Their SP pool will be similar to a bard, so the above buffs could take half their mana I would guess.
I assume artificers will need some mana to activate their combat abilities with a crossbow (no idea), or just to use during the fight, so it doesn't leave them much to work with.
And this doesn't even count other buffs that we don't know about yet.

Saw another artificer scroll in a different thread, 10 min buff that makes you use int for damage modifier when using a crossbow or a 1 handed weapon. Think it was artificer L6.
Artificer doesn't have a lot of buffs the same as other classes, but there is a patern here:
Shield of Faith:
Art 1, Clr 1, Fvs 1
Resist energy:
Art 1, Clr 3, Fvs 3, Pal 8, Rng 4, Wiz 3, Sor 4
Protection from energy:
Art 3, Clr 5, Fvs 5, Rng 8, Wiz 5, Sor 6
Stoneskin:
Art 6, Wiz 7, Sor 8
Mass Shield of Faith:
Art 6, Clr 7, Fvs 7
Protection from Elements:
Art 9, Clr 9, Fvs 9, wiz 9, Sor 10

As a bard I am principally jealous of all the spells Artificers get that we don't have. I'm looking at you Resistance from X. On the other hand we have a new buff-specialist buddy.
Feel free to contradict yourself!
The enemy artificers in "Schemes of the Enemy" were definitely casting Blade Barrier. They also had a few aura spells. I'll have to go back in again and find out the exact names.
Well Blade Barrier is on their PnP list. Thought that might be the 'spell that is currently removed from their list' as being bugged for pc's as per Eladrin

I don't know if I'm more angry that they're getting full spell progression (odd for a specialist class), or that I can't play one RIGHT NOW!
