    Sounds like a stoneskin without the 10 points per hit limit. I wonder if there are higher level equivalents of this spell.

    Makes me wonder if there's gonna be a special animation to go with it. Possibly pop the scroll with UMD and see. As for the benefits, seems it's similar to the arcane False Life (albeit castable on allies instead of self only) rather than Stoneskin, since it's not DR but rather a temporary buffer to the damage you can take.

    On the bottom i linked back the spell that i confirmed using scrolls.
    Apparantly the Artificer can cast stoneskin too

    i did a google search on this class and one of the prestige paths was "battlesmith" which looks like a major buffage potential to your party

    i see raid parties wanting a warchanter & an artificer who can buff

    Seeing that artificers get a lot of buffs on lower levels then wiz/sorc, it could be very nice.
    And proficiency in the great crossbow gives them the ability to ranged knockdown targets for the melee.

    Positive energy grenades? Cool. Damage is kinda poor, though.
    It's a level 1 spell. Did you expect it to mass heal the entire party?

    also note the last line of the spell, it is effected by what appears to be a skill

    maybe, but it does sound like a skill, especially like a PnP one (eg. Knowledge:Arcania)

    There are still infusions that conform to those rules, but the regular spells from the artificer do not in DDO.
