Masterful Craftsmanship

A new crafting recipe is available to reduce the minimum level usage restriction on a crafted item by 2. The recipe is called Masterful Craftsmanship I, and requires a special Bound to Account item that is only available from a House Cannith favor vendor or rare treasure drop. Currently, House Cannith favor can only be acquired by high level characters, but this will change in a future update.

Can someone take a look at this shard and tell me how it is?

Just reading the release notes at work and this item sounds really interesting.

And I just tho that crafting was tinwkapalooza, with this shard I'm unable to find words for the twinkage I will be doing.

This gets the weapon within 1 level of random weapons and 3 levels of race-restricted random weapons.

The "I" bodes well for future increases as well.

Still going to be awhile before a crafted item can match a RR random item with Festival Icy Burst and a Stone of Change Ritual though.


Speaking of which, has anyone checked to see if Stone of Change Rituals are still adding 1 ML to crafted weapons?

Haven't checked that yet, due to character transfer not working so far I do not have access to my collectables, and I do not feel motivated to seek them our (or level a crafter on lamannia for that matter)

Not really thinking about weapons (cause all my nice weapons are the icy-bursty way), more in the line of accesories, but let me give you some examples:

Right now you can craft +4 stat items with ML7, so with the new shard that would be ML5!!!!

Googles of attack bonus +2, striding +15% and moderat fort are also all created now as ML5. So they all could be ML3.

Yeah, I know that kind of items are not going to break the game, but I was just speaking about twinking lowbies.

In the other hand, I crafted some very specific niche weapons that were really good for some specific quests, clearly Icy Bursted nice weapons would be the way to go for all the rest.

A couple of examples:

Holy Maul of Undead Bane ML7 for Deleras. This life I'm going TN so not having access to pure good (and Righteoness looking a bit weak) this is a great weapon. The same in random loot would have ML8 due to fact of needing at least a +1 enhacement. Also I got a medium guild slot in my maul, so it worked as an efective +5 to hit.

+1 Keen Flametouched Iron falchion of Evil Outsider Bane ML7 for doing Chronoscope at level. Using the Flametouched Iron to bypass DR let my put a lot of damage as prefix/suffix. It's a so specific weapon, that I seriously doubt you can find an equal in random loot.

hmm... can't craft the shard since you do need "Mark of Cannith" as part of the ingredients

wonder if it'll take up a suffix slot, if so, it's not worth it :<

Well I tried asking +KookieKobold for the Mark of House Cannith, and the response I got was:

(Admin): +Kookiekobold tells you, 'Last time i checked you can always make a character with that feat!'

....erm. I don't think they understood me. I tried to clarify, but received no response.

So yeah, I'd love to craft it, and test it to see if it works, if it's a prefix, if its a suffix, if it counts toward potential, etc... but without this Favor Reward, pretty much boned.

Actually, I know where to get it. However, as far as I know, with only the 3 quests, and not the 2 raids, unlocked, there is no way to get the Favor with which to purchase it. You would have to be exceedingly lucky to pull it from a chest.

Alright then... I guess we'll have to wait till the Raids are out to see how this works. Sheesh.
