    Default Stronger Monsters

    From the release notes

Many raid bosses have grown stronger as a result of their numerous encounters with players. Many that did not have the following now do: True Seeing, some Metamagic feats, and some amount of fortification versus critical hits. They have also been given extra hit points and physical damage output. The amount of the increase is higher for higher level raid bosses, and for those on harder difficulty settings.
I have been reading this and wondered what exactly is meant by this or rather how will this effect party make up?

Seems we are going full circle and they are attempting to beef up the big guys. I really don't have a problem with this but it would be nice to see the mini-bosses and LTs also get a bump. However I left wondering does this handicap more classes in end boss raid fights?

I think it's great. Bring on the challenge!

The only thing that handicaps a class is the player behind it so I think not ;p

Good step. Would've preferred moving trash from the scenery to the threat category more, but every bit helps, I suppose.

Increased Fortification puts arcanes even further ahead of melees in sustained DPS.

I'm not sure how many folks have noticed it, but some of the old bosses, like Prelate Vendisto (Cult of the Six: part 4) and Drog Blackhand (The Bounty Hunter) have been getting rather sizable boosts to their HP over the past few Updates (ranging from around 500% to 1500% their original HP values).

So THAT is why they take two Fireballs, rather than one now.

hmm I didn't realize they had increased hp value, I normally farm part 4 of CO6 series and he usually goes down really quickly anyways, even if i melee him down.

Just did Co6 elite a week or so ago, didn't seem much different to me, but I hadn't done it in a while so maybe it was just really easy before.

    sneaky devs..

I dont notice cuz the last time i ran my caster thru the low lvl stuff, was pre scaling.. So full hp.. Now i figure its less or similar since im more powerful..

I like it tho.. We got more power, so should the mobs.

PS: You should fill some of ur data on ddowiki.com.. So we can better track this stuff from update to update... (since ur catalogs been down a while now)

Quest bosses from really old content have insanely low HP.

Come to think of it, the end boss of Delara's part 4 has had his HP upped a lot too. Felt like 1000 on 5-player Hard; I recall him dying to one Fireball in the past.

no problem. we can fix that by bumping up their dps by 30% and giving them a stamina bar. when they are out of stamina, they can't auto-attack.

    make it so!

Blah make new stuff, stop redoing the old raids. Buff them up, debuff them back down for the casual players that start crying. Just a never ending cycle. I feel must of you don't really care about the challenge, because you dont go into the raids naked and fighting them with muckbanes. If really cared about the challenge that much you would challenge yourself and not really on someone else to do it for you.

I really don't know the % of people out there like me that would love to put in $50 to $100 bucks down for just a really big smashing high level pack. I want raids, epics, quest and lot more gear and item to strive for. That to me is been missing in this game forever. I know there two raids coming in this pack, but depending on the length I will hold my judgement.

I love to see raids that you can only complete sections of it in 1 hour, places were can save the progess. So it might take me a week a month to beat the raid. I love to see less grind on getting the gear and more replay value getting additional peices of the gear. I think all should benifit equal from completing the raids. I sick and tired of the random casino type of loot. What will we win today, PLZ PLZ PLZ GIVE ME THAT UBER PIECE OF LOOT.

These are the thing I like to see, redoing old raids does nothing for me period. It will not be nothing but a bump for the good players, but setting up pugs will just be that much more of a nightmare. More annoying less fun, so in turn making harder for newer players to learn.

Though if they said we uping the drop rates of all loot, but making the raids more challenging. I be standing up cheering, that is my ideal game, less grind more challenging. Fun is being challenge, repeating the same task over and over is just boring. What I get for this news they want to sale more elixer and other items from the store. To me it a change to up there sales and nothing more.

Casters don't run out of mana except when soloing.

400 mana per minute sustains the two big DOTs, which out-DPS an eSOS melee.

Any level 20 arcane, even in poor gear, should be able to take out Malicia on Epic by themselves without mana issues, as long as they have help dealing with the trash. She has a good ~95k HP according to Vanshilar's testing.

More fortification does not have a uniform DPS impact across classes. It has no impact whatsoever on casters and has the most impact on rogues.

Bring on the effects/items/abilities that reduce fortification.

ANY time the Devs nerf something like 2wf but then say they lower mob hitpoints is just a way to shut people up.When they calm down DDO puts the old HP's back to normal yet keep the player changes in tact. =P
