Some people will always complain with UI changes.

    Some things are obvious bugs.

Showing HP/SP is an obvious improvement. Particularly for healers.

I think the drama and the fear of elitism is totally overblown. The lack of information results in just as much elitism now... some people don't invite you until they know you, or they look at myddo and reject based on outdated information.

If they show debuffs in the near future, that will be a huge help as well, although everyone should continue to be expected to clear their own debuffs.

And I'm saying the "compact version" is not compact:
It is forced to have a large amount of empty space around it and all the rest of the Party list.

If I can't stack it in with my other hotbars/focus orb/etc, it isn't "compact".

While we are adding HP number and percent to the Vitals and Party List bars, can we add HP number and percent to the Focus Orb too? Please?

When I'm targeting a player for healing, I shouldn't have to look at the Party List.

And why should enemy HP be a mystery anyway? (If the number has to remain shrouded in mystery, at least display the percentage.)

While there have always been the snobs who myDDO everyone, this will just encourage the lazy, non-myDDOing snobs to drop people. People with lower than "acceptable" HP will either be dropped or endlessly "counseled" on their sub-par character everytime they try to group.

I have only wanted two things for the group bars: The ability to see classes and levels(hover text?) and to be able to arrange the group members.

For example, if I am playing an arcane in a raid I would like to be able to seperate out the warforged in the group so I can help keep an eye on their HP easier.

This would also be help to organize people based on buffs needed or if the group splits and you need to keep track of who you are with.

    This, this and this!

It seems they listened to the community on how they wanted changes to that area. But then just went off and made changes no-one seemed to have wanted or needed. Very strange.

They already do display the percentage, in health bar form.

    Just eyeball it.

Yea, they give you a small one like this

    http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images...hot00004z.jpg/

(Much more blackbird compatible but no auto attack, must put on hotbar)

but it makes the other party bars spawn off of it, so it ends up looking like this in party

    http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images...hot00005c.jpg/

It actually takes up less space going side to side, but is vertically quite a bit longer.

You just have to put your small bar wherever you want your party members to show up.

I do currently 'eyeball it' with my marked-off 5% increments, but it would still be better if they just displayed the actual number and percent.

True. Wish they'd do those things instead.

I like the smaller version for myself. It uses less screen space while providing all the information I need while questing.
Once upon a time, I was part of a team, and we saved some children. That was long ago and far away, and, yes, I am that old.

please please please please PLEASE do NOT fix what is NOT broken! the new interface takes up WAY too much screen space even on a 1600x900 res screen! not to mention it's FUGLY to boot. It looks childish, and does not mesh with the rest of the sharp lines of the rest of the hot bars, and menus. if you want to put in hp stat's fine, but PLEASE do so with the OLD displays. I love this game for what it is, please don't try to make it look like LOTRO, or Rift, or heaven forbid WOW. it is it's own game with it's own unique look that we liked MUCH better the way it was before.

God this is horrible. Played with it a bit last night and I do not like it in any way shape or form. If you're going to put this garbage in, please give us an option to enable "classic" hp/sp bars for both ourselves and the group we're in.

Slightly related, I still use the n+n+n for damage, because I like it better that way. I don't care that other people can use the other method that shows damage differently. That's all good on them. But I want the option to opt out.

I don't even care if the other people can see my hp and sp numbers. But I don't care to see anyone else's. Or if I did, I'd want it in the same format we have on live currently.

    Don't turn this into DDLOTRO.

The small version is to small and can not be place close to the bottom of the screen and does not have auto attack.

If the devs want it in fine but Please have a toggle for classic DDO and lotro view for those of us who prefer the current DDO version.

Just like your was able to able grid and description option for the backpack (I still use grid) gives us your playing and paying customers (those how do pay) the chose of which UI to use or give use the Lua Scripting ability and we the UIs ourselves.

You can have a great program / game, but a terrible UI will be notice and have negative effects on the user experience ex DCUO

It is already bad enough that most of the onscreen UI objects are odd shaped and dont get along with the other odd shaped objects. Now they are making them even bigger and far more obtrusive to the screen.

How about an entire UI rewrite instead of this junk. Make the objects smaller, make the objects line up in an aesthetically pleasing manner with the other objects, give us docking objects that collapse and expand on mouse over.

This is ridiculous. The UI definitely needs work but this is not the solution.

    This needs to be resolved.

I am a laptop player with some restricted choices on my viewing options. I have supported this game for so long now, and it would be sad to get hedged out of play by UI choices.

Was this just an analogy relating to the health bar changes or is that also being changed?

Also, I'm curious about what the benefit of going n+n+n is? Just want to know what it is about it that draws people to it. I was thinking about changing it to that.

About it taking up more space, at least it doesn't stretch it out into the middle of the screen more. Since it only stretches it downwards due to the spaces in between names, it's a bit more manageable to work in. Also

I don't have to have a dedicated HP/SP bar for myself (so that saves a bit of room), and can use the one that's in the F1 slot to see my stats.
