looks like ****!!! plus I must wonder what this will cause in lag with havng to keep up with showing everyones HP/SP all the time. Bad Bad Bad idea.
Also if that was 10 people in a 12 person raid group it would how 6 on one side and 4 on the other

I play on a laptop... Not a great resolution there. IMO the current AI needed trimming as it was, too much fluff around the edges. This... is ridiculously oversized.
No point to having a portrait or class icon on my hp bar at all; I know what I'm playing by the hotbars. I have to be pretty tired to confuse the wings icon for a trip icon...

The new Vital bars are terrible. I know this is Lotro tech, a piece of lotro tech that has no place in DDO.
Large Vital Bar
To big, increase in size and adds no new functionality.
We know what our character looks like we created them. There is no need to add increase the burden of our systems to display our characters faces or to tell us what class they are, we know what classes our characters are.
The circle is to big, I and probably many other players like to place the status bar as close as possible near the hotbars right under our characters. The circle will prevent this and will cover 2+ slots of the hot bar. The circle itself takes up two rows.
Small Vital Bar
No auto attack button now the a auto attack icon on my hot bar.
The small Vital bar is to small it can not show a percentage and hp numbers without crossing over into the icon,. There is no auto attack icon on the small bar.
It can not be place close to the bottom of the screen due to a invisible box that is probably for other party members
Small bar can be hard to read in a middle of a fight.
Screen space is valuable in DDO this does not reduce screen clutter but adds to it.
Possible Solutions
Create a option for the classic look of the Vital bar.
Remove character portrait circle altogether as it take up screen space especially for those who play on a low resolution screens.
Scrap the "new" Vital bar all together.
Post a dev diary, forum post on UI changes so we the customers/players can guide you the devs on a viable solution and not surprise us with a bad solution and wasted dev resources.

I can confirm that in wemery73's pic that it was a 12 person raid. I was in that group and my name is missing from the picture.
OMG, this is a real fail design.
Group interface:
The only thing that MIGHT be an improvement is the actual hp totals, and thats of limited value. Knowing someone's SP or Ki total doesn't matter at all.
The huge space the new interface takes is stupid. We don't have that kind of screen space to waste (or do you not want us to see your pretty graphics?)
If, as reported, it really only lets you add 10 people to a group...Unbelievable mistake, how did that get through QA?
Individual interface:
As other have said, WAY too large, and we have no need of seeing our own pic, level, classes. Seriously, if you don't know what you are...
Removing the autoattack feature is also a bad call. Why make us take up a valuable toolbar spot when it worked perfectly well where it was and took up almost no screen space?
Please revert. At an absolute minimum, revert that HORRENDOUS individual interface and fix the group one to display 12
And I thought playing a wizard with 14 hotbars filled my screen up... This is FANTASTIC! Now I'll have no screen room left to see anything BUT my character! Time to TR the wizard I suppose...
Bad choice Turbine.
Leave LOTRO where it is. DDO is fine without it.
Thank you.

screen RealEstate is expensive .... use as little as possible please
On a side note I would like to be able to re-size all of the UI interfaces that I cannot at the moment ... I would love to do to all of them what we can do to the chat box ... please
Hey everybody look! I've made the wheel MUCH better! I've made it square, the corners will help hold the tires on better!
Uhmm, of course it looks big, what resolution is that in the OPs screen shots, 640 x 480? Come on, one icon bar takes up half his screen width for crying out loud! I have an average PC - two years old, and nothing fancy when it was new - running 1920 x 1080 resolution and it looked perfectly fine.
Showing the portrait and level is pointless though, that I agree with. But I like the SP and HP in the party list.

So the portrait is a bug but what about the rest of it such as:
-12 man raids only showing 10 folks
-Ki amount overlapping the Sp amount instead of separate bars
-Percentages and HP/SP being too large to cause overlap of the class icon.
Are these bugs also or WAI?
On a side note the moving platforms are a win.

We (or at least I) did ask the devs to redo the party bar to include an optional high-info display setting with things like:
- HP/SP #'s.
- current debuffs (curses, neg levels, poison, disease)
- and maybe class split so you know who to yell at to rogue or who has evasion etc.
Did not request oversized noninformative bubble graphics. Please remove.
Add debuffs. (Has anyone checked to see if debuffs appear on that icon)?
Do it in a manner that doesn't waste screen real estate.
Get rid of the self target pic.

Sad...just sad. So instead of fixing the mountain of things that have had bugs for years they instead try to "fix" something that isn't broken?
Just sad....

I like, I hope a lot of people don't hide their stat points. But I guess those that have low will hide their L20 130HP Drows.
But I wish they would have put the characters L in the portrait area. That helps a lot more, when trying to ensure you're not grouping with higher levels, etc.
I do not understand the huge non useful image bubble though.
Is possible to see also hp boss?

Showing party's hp/sp totals is going to cause a lot of elitism. It sees like a good idea but some people are going to kick people for having fewer than what they think is optimal hp or sp (people use myddo for that purpose now, this just makes it easier). I like the streamlined look of the bars themselves but have to say I don't care for the option to see actual totals. Percents are ok, totals nah.

I outright HATE this new UI; wastes too much space and the mana bar is rendered illegible of the caster took on monk levels. I am hoping they didn't decide to decrease the size of raid parties from 12 to 10 as that would somewhat suck (I say somewhat because there are those who can pull off raids with far less than 12 people).
What was wrong with the old UI? It worked just as well, and as nice as the numbers on the health/mana bar might be, the only thing it really contributes to is trolling those who do not have an optimal build (as others have said).
Bad move Turbine. Keep the UI as is, or, at the very least, invest SOME kind of effort in making the new UI neater, and more legible for those who have monk levels bundled in with a class that uses a mana bar.
