What I'm absolutely loving is that we'll be able to customize which metamagics apply to each spell on the hotbars
This is worded exactly right, to usurp is to:Originally Posted by Release Notes

Just frustrated with the "New mirror cloak". The most useful change on the item was removed. So much for Greater Light Resist.
Karnasis (Human Wizard, Pale Master, Level 27), Taldall (Half-Orc, Monk- Perpetually abandoned)
No Artificer yet? Kinda disappointing... at least it's better than that time we were all expecting an update preview and got a minor patch instead
What are crafting skills? Please tell me this isn't something to do with Cannith Crafting. The Dragonmarks of Making now grant bonuses (+3 for Least, +3 for Lesser, and +4 for Greater) to crafting skills.
Crafted GT wraps work fine. It's the others that were broken.Ghost Touch crafted handwraps now work correctly.
No word on crafted wraps enhancement bonus?
Ugh... the right answer here was not to require ingredients that only come from grinding a trivial mid-level quest.Adamantine Ore now stack up to 150
Oh god yes. Thank the lord.Metamagic feats can now be applied to specific spells. Players can select a spell on a toolbar, click the right mouse button, and set the metamagic feats that apply to that spell.
Metamagic Feats Can No Be Applied To Specific Spells
Ghallanda - now with fewer alts and more ghostbane
Wow I don't care what new handwrap bug happens (there's gotta be one) if the selectable metamagics are working right. I can finally use soundburst again on my fvs without it costing a ton of SP for **** damage!
Some extra info on the bravery bonus would be nice though. It sounds like it's a buff that lasts until you run a quest on a different difficulty regardless of what quest you run. So you can just blow through 5 runs of an easy elite, then go to the real stuff and get +50% xp? Seems a bit silly if it works that way...
Here are the changes that make me want to love U11
- Metamagic feats can now be applied to specific spells. Players can select a spell on a toolbar, click the right mouse button, and set the metamagic feats that apply to that spell. Hallelujah! I've wanted this for over a year. It's an awesome, much-appreciated change.
- Epic treasure from the Phiarlan Carnival adventure pack has been upgraded: Woot! Loot!
- Epic treasure from the Sentinels of Stormreach adventure pack has been upgraded: Woot! Loot!
- Ice Storm has had some graphical changes made to it to improve game performance. Hurray for crappy graphics cards
- Rapid Shot is now significantly more effective. And ranged characters everywhere rejoiced...
This also looks interesting: "Some changes have been made to the storyline and dungeons on Korthos Island."
Finally, Disrupt Undead, if it's not capped, looks to be pretty powerful in the hands of a level 20 PM. Are we looking at a level 1 spell doing Polar Ray-level damage to undead?
"And you ate an apple, and I ate a pear,
From a dozen of each we had bought somewhere;
And the sky went wan, and the wind came cold,
And the sun rose dripping, a bucketful of gold. " - Millay
There's no indication of a level limit, so, 4x Elite Haverdasher before each series of runs of Elite high-level quests?
But I don't think that's how it will work. I think it's a per quest bonus, completely unconnected to other quests. I think it's more likely that the release notes are unintentionally ambiguously worded, than that the devs thought it would be a good idea to have quest XP be affected by other quests.
They did it right though. Both the leader and successor have to be gone for 2 months, and only officers can usurp. That's reasonable. You made them officers for a reason right? If neither you nor your successor has been around for 2 months its fair to let your trusted officers step in for you. The original plan to let any member do it was foolhardy, but they listened to us
I think the big idea is to get some of the meat out before we get yummy potatoes.
Bug template! QA is here for you.

how to handle this random, anywhere

Maybe I am the one being unreasonable. As a premium player I would have to purchase a charter to start a guild (which I haven't because I didn't like the way they were going with it). So I don't like any change that would transfer my property to another person. I agree with the successor portion. That is what a successor is for after all. Officers however, would be appointed to help lead groups, recruit new members and other important things like that.
I guess I really just need to stop arguing and accept the fact that the only way Turbine will leave my stuff alone in an emergency situation is to run a 'one man show' leadership wise or a solo guild.
