Probably depends on if you are role playing the barbarian as a shop keeper or if you are adventuring with him.

I don't know though, I think death frenzy could still come in handy as a shop keeper too.

    Frenzy

    • Expend 10 hit points to enter a frenzy (Stacks with your basic Rage.), increasing your strength by 2 and add the 'Vicious' property to your melee weapons. (2d6 damage to your attacks while dealing 1d3 damage to yourself per attack.)

    Barbarian Frenzied Berserker II

    • Usage: Passive

    • Cost: 2 action points

    • Progression: 42 action points

    • Requires All of: Barbarian Power Attack II, Barbarian Power Rage II, Barbarian Damage Boost III, Barbarian Frenzied Berserker I

    • Available to Barbarian class level 12

    • While raging, increases the critical multiplier of all weapons you use by 1 when you roll a natural 19 or 20 that is a confirmed critical hit. Your two handed weapon glancing blows have an additional 2% chance of applying magical weapon effects. You also gain the ability to expend 10 hp to Supreme Cleave.

    • This enhancement automatically grants the following:

    Supreme Cleave

    • Expend 10 hit points to attack all nearby enemies.

    Barbarian Frenzied Berserker III

    • Usage: Passive

    • Cost: 2 action points

    • Progression: 66 action points

    • Requires All of: Barbarian Power Attack III, Barbarian Power Rage III, Barbarian Damage Boost IV, Barbarian Frenzied Berserker II

    • Available to Barbarian class level 18

    • While raging, increases the critical multiplier of all weapons you use by 1 when you roll a natural 19 or 20 that is a confirmed critical hit. Your two handed weapon glancing blows have an additional 2% chance of applying magical weapon effects. You also gain the ability to expend 20 hp to death frenzy.

    • This enhancement automatically grants the following:

    Death Frenzy

    • Expend 20 hit points to enter a death frenzy (Stacks with your basic Rage and Frenzy.), increasing your strength by 4, your critical multiplier by 1 when raging, and adds the 'Greater Vicious' property to your melee weapons. (4d6 damage to your attacks while dealing 1d3 damage to yourself per attack.) Duration: 1 minute and Cooldown: 30 seconds.
Note the three underlined effects, which give you +3 to your crit multiplier on rolls of 19 or 20 while raging. Suppose you have a greataxe and IP: Slash. These bonuses alone give you a ~26% boost to DPS.

Then there's the +6d6 untyped damage to all regular swings and +6d6 untyped damage to all glancing blows, for a total of +36.75 damage per swing on average. Then there's the +6 strength, adding another +4-5 damage and +3 attack/DCs. Then there's supreme cleave, which now can be used constantly at about the same speed as a regular swinging to attack all enemies around you and hit them all with glancing blows.

This costs you just 2d3 damage per swing from your HP and a mere handful of AP. I'd say it's well worth it.
