Default XP Bonus for no / very few breakables broken

    We have
    Insidious Cunning (+10%)
    Devious (+7%) and
    Discreet (+5%)
for being stealthy / successfully zergy and not killing many monsters to achieve the quest objectives.

Why not have similar bonuses for the - to my mind usually much harder - task of not breaking many breakables.

Given kills goes up to +25% for conquest, and breakables only goes up to Ransack at +15%, maybe limit the potential bonus for not breaking breakables to +8 - +10%.

    Say,
Fastidious (+10%) - 0 breakables broken as with insidious cunning for kills.
    Tidy (+8%)
    Careful (+5%)

I'm not going to suggest percentage of breakables for the other thresholds, but ripping off something like those used for devious and discreet would probably be about right, and, as with devious, would probably seldom happen spontaneously without effort on behalf of the players.

I appreciate some comments will likely address that, "power-levellers don't need more free xp", and I do see that side to it, but I think it's a downside that doesn't hurt too badly in exchange for a genuinely fun upside. Also, I suspect it would be rare that zerg parties would achieve a breakable-free run (quest dependent) due to monsters thrashin' about when invisible things run past them at light speed (that said, they should achieve some bonus for a completed quest with minimal breakables broken).

I know I'd like to have the option of achieving a breakables bonus through skillfully avoiding them (careful with that greataxe / those fireballs), rather than the time-sink of an extra few minutes laboriously smashing sarcophagi like a House Jorasco graverobber. I'm all for the continued existence of Ransack, both the guild and the bonus, since seeing / finding every breakable is a difficult (I'm looking at you Chains of Flame wall-colour urns) or at least time-consuming (Free Delera) task in some instances.

In Von 3 the breakables in the Troll Ambassador optional room are slow to get to and unnecessary for ransack.

I can get on board with 0 breakables, but only in conjunction with the stealth options. Otherwise, its free xp for zergers. So if you meet stleath goals, then it unlocks the no-breakables options.

There are a few missions that it seems exceedingly strange to get a bonus for smashing stuff. Like when you're in the House Deneith or Phirarlan buildings. Either not having breakables or getting a bonus for not destroying your allies houses and offices seems much more appropriate. But for general missions I think it'd just be free XP for people zerging the quest.

Not a bad idea, but i'm not sure it's the best use of resources in a game currently (in my opinion) - lot of other things could be worked on (like ranged combat... c'mon U11 actually be useful! hehe.)

I also think this would take a lot of time/testing to get it right - some quests/raids don't even have breakables. Many can be easily avoided unless you just fireball everything in sight or fight mobs right in the middle of a sea of barrells instead of moving 3 steps to the right and well, then, it's really just Free XP to many groups who can easily figure out to move their mob fight to the right to avoid breaking stuff.

The Devious bonus makes more sense to me because it's much much harder to avoid aggro in a lot of quests from monsters who can see/hear/sense you versus breakables that do not have legs and try to get in the way of your fireballs, etc. (in many quests, i'm sure there are exceptions that I'm not thinking of right now like Acute Delirium? but those aren't breakables that walk around they are beds!).

It could be done but not sure it's worth the developer/requirements gathering time to see what a reasonable amount in each quest is... they'd have to test a lot of scenarios in each quest to get it right about what is a 'difficult' amount of breakables NOT to break in each quest - keep in mind, once someone finds the best path they're gonna post it. I can't even think of many quests where it's really hard not to break the breakables - did you have specifics in mind? I know there are some but can't think of them off hand. I don't think they represent the majority of quests but i could be wrong.

So on real easy-to-avoid-breakables quests, it is free XP for no extra effort. If the game is already "grindy" for the power levelers, this seems silly. On some quests, maybe the bar should be set real high (break less than 3) or on ones where you almost have to break stuff to complete, set the bar lower (less than 25? i dunno... ).

    Curious what others think....

    IF:

    - that will be small maximum bonus (max. 5% for 0, 3% for 1-3, 0% >3)
    - will be connected with either kill bonuses or stealth bonuses (any bonus from that part)
    - you get no bonus XP if there is no breakables in quest

    THEN:

If they impliment the laziness bonus (no breakables broken), then there should be other bonuses as well.

Secret Doors: Blind man bonus (no doors found)

Traps: Fumbling Barbarian Bonus (No traps disabled)

Deaths: Sucks to be Us Bonus (All characters 1+ deaths)

Reentries: Shr Plz Bonus (All characters 1+ reentry)

Extreme TPK: All characters have both deaths and reentries.

I'd prefer this to be an occasional and optional bonus in breakable-laden quests. Like Ringleader... it'd take some careful work to break no crates in that quest, even if only because a kobold is as likely to break at least one as the players are.

But, I'm not sure if I like it being a feature in all quests.

The difference between no kills and no breakables is that it requires you to work to have no kills or very few kills. There is no "skill"/work involved in not breaking anything.

Why should less work/ability yield a bonus?

At least that is the way I see it.

With the ridiculous TR grind, we could use more XP for zergers.

I know you're joking, but some of those bonuses sound rather fun.
