Madstone boots problem?

Is there an issue with Madstone boots not working correctly.. When I click on them, I am not getting the first boost of Madstone rage 95% of the time... I should get +2 Str, +4 Con and other bonus but I do not.

I can trigger the animation of casting madstone rage, but it just does not proc. any ideas?

Does it tick down a charge? If not, I know what you mean; you just have to wait a little and stand still for a bit after clicking on it to make sure it actually casts it.

If it does deduct a charge and you're still not getting the benefits, then I'd suggest you bug report it.

It seems to be whenever C.E is on, then the Madstone boots clicky does not work.

Just did several tests, whenever C.E is on the clicky deducts, but does not trigger Madstone rage. When its off it works as it should.

Combat Expertise gives you immunity to rage effects.

Are you in a defensive stance? Recent changes to stances block rage spell. Since its a clickie I would guess it would fall as a rage spell.

Put on Boots of Anchoring while in CE to gain back the Rage effects.

I thought the changes to CE and defensive stances were supposed to effect the rage spell as it applied a penality to AC, but not madstone rage as it provided a bonus to AC.

Am I mistaken that this was how the changes were described back then?

I don't know anything about how the changes were originally described, but the effect is definitely to block Madstone Rage as well as the Rage spell.

You can also use CE/Defensive Fighting if you get hit with an Inspire Recklessness that you don't want (applies more to casters than to melees). I'd have to double check to see if they block Blood Rage too.

I noticed this a while back on my warchanter bard.
Was wondering if this blocks madstone rage in the quest (madstone crater)?
