I was wondering:
1. Have you/are you going to TR? Ever?
2. If No, would you TR if the current XP requirements were reduced?

however for the most part, I only ran 90% of the quests in the game 3 times, n/h/e then I moved on.
Yes, it took me 3 weeks to reach level 20 again as a 36 point build.. however I played every quest in the game, and am currently sitting over 3,725 total favor, missing only Tower of Despair, Vision of Destruction, and The Dreaming Dark on Elite.
TR is not as bad as some people make it out to be.
There is now, with the new quests released, plenty of exp in the game to get to level 20 in a reasonable amount of time, without having to seriously grind the game.
Plan to TR at some point, main toon won't be anytime soon since I first have to cap her out, plus I want to try out epics some. Second toon I will probably TR pretty quickly once she is capped.

Have ever? Yes. Will again? Highly unlikely.
Absolutely. The prohibitive grinding is exactly why I won't be doing it anymore. If it were reduced (and I mean significantly reduced) then I would almost certainly do it again. If it was removed completely, I might even do it as a way to make my character more powerful, not just to make changes that would otherwise not be doable with an LR.

The XP hit to TR is simply silly. Yeah, power gamers can lvl in a week, so what. TRing is for everyone and for a number of reasons.
The amount of XP required to TR should NEVER be more that the XP provided running 80% of the game on elite. It's just that simple.
The current TR mechanism made it a grind fest. Unlock the grind and make us play the whole game. There is great content out there that rarely gets played because the grind is so large, most TR's can't take the time away from the big xp quests to enjoy the scenery!
Heck, on a 3rd TR, make the leveling process completely different. When you run every lvl 1 quest elite, you get lvl 2. When you run every lvl 2 quest elite, you get lvl 3. It would be a much better game!

I would TR a lot more often if the xp grind was not so prohibitive. Right now I'm working on epics and end game raiding for equipment and getting some more 20th completions in first. I'm not sure how long it's going to take me for third life grind...probably close to a month or maybe more if I don't find a static group.
I would TR a lot more if it weren't for the xp costs. I get burned out too fast

I agree with butlerfamilywa. The exp to get to 20 isn't bad at all, no matter the life you are on. And that is my plan when I do TR. Just do all the quests I can, get to 20, and tr again. Repeat. As they add content, packs will increase the variety of what I can do each life, thus making the journey less repitition and more enjoyable.
Currently, I am farming gear and items with my main 20 while my alts get to 20. Once I have a few others to 20, I will focus on tring my main.

I honestly found myself leveling too fast my first life. I was breezing past tons of content--there were times when I had a full two levels banked and ran quests anyway, because I didn't feel like leveling up yet.
Now I'm in the middle of a TR life, and the XP grind is fine. I'm still missing the occasional quest, but it's a lot better this time around. I'll see how I enjoy a TR2 life, but I figure if I stick to TRing instead of playing alts, after a few more lives I'll just think of that leveling speed as normal. But I'm not in any hurry to level, some weeks I barely have time to play at all.
And I'd much, much rather grind for xp than for another set of raid loot. Not that I have all the items I want as it is. I'm just going to have to keep running ADQ 20 times per life until I see that Torc, I guess.
The question is irrelevent. There is no XP penalty for TRing. There is an XP requirement for TR leveling that is higher than the XP requirement of non TR characters. Big difference.
Please stop asking for easy buttons. The TR system is fine. Those are the rules of the game and if you don't like it then don't play.
Yes, and frequently. Of my 4 primary toons, at almost all times one is levelling. Never more than one at a time. Usually, it's because I want a drastic change in build (example, solar phoenix turned into pure rogue). They're now on lives 3, 4, 2, and 2.
My most recent TR is doing the same thing as butlerfamilywa, only running once n/h/e.
I TR occasionally. The XP grind is a bit of a pain but not insurmountable.
Usually the deciding factor is boredom with a high level character running content over and over and for me a TR switches things up a bit.

I'll be TR'ing many, many times (want to have the full set of all 3 passive feats for each class). The idea amuses me, the incremental bumps in capabilities and raw power are nice, I find the re-leveling to be fun... better, for me, than gear and inventory accumulation of "stuff" grinding. ;-}
The XP, even as a Multi-TR is not that bad. It is possible to journey all the way up to 20 again (and again, and again) and even avoid/skip many of whatever particular quests you find annoying. And, you really do not have to do the nnnnnnnn/h/e grind to get there either. [It is a good idea to harvest xp from quests on elite, I've found, even when 2-3 levels over... otherwise things feel like they bog down in levels 16 and above.]
1: Yes, I have, and will continue to do so.
2: Wel, given my answer to number 1, I'd have to say heck yes.
This is how I do it also. Gotta keep a shroud/Tod flagged toon at all times. =)
I agree, it's not a penalty, it's an obstacle, an elite setting for the game, if you will, that grants special powers, in a way.

I've only gotten one character to cap so far. I will probably try out TR'ing him, but not until I get a couple more characters to cap (probably months away as I primarily play my capped character), which will let me try out different classes. I'm also learning raids and epics, etc. with him, so not spending lots of time levelling lower toons. I also want to get all the favor rewards first, which will also take time.
After I try it once, I'll decide whether I want to do it more, but I think that since I levelled past lots of quests on his first life, like to try new quests and am not too worried about how long it takes to get to cap, I might not think the extra xp required is that bad.
Ultimately, I'd like to have a few level 20's and some other characters spread through the levels so I can group with whoever at whatever level they're at. Then whatever mood I'm in, I would have a character to do that level of playing.
