    Default Wild Mage PRE

    Im not a pnp player so i dont know much about it, but i see the set bonus on the tod stuff so i know its coming at some point. can anyone shed some light on what a wild mage is generally? what may it translate to in this game?

    Powerful unpredictable magic...can also be unreliable.

    You can create a surge of wild magic - roll a dice (1d100).
    Whatever the dice lands determines what the surge does.

    It may be power usually well beyond your level -
    or the result may cause more harm than good.

    It's hard to say how this will be implemented in DDO.

    It's going to be greater dispel, followed by grease and sleet storm 50ft around you.

    That's a 2e version of Wild Magic. The Wild Mage from 3.5 is nothing like that. Randomly modified caster level and random redirection of some stuff that targets him is more what the 3.5 version does.
