I ran a group with a lvl range of 13-15 on first TR elite shroud... most people (other TR's) were calling me nutz (because is normally their higher xp farm area) but I do it for the favour and at the level least breeds some fun into the quests. While she was weilding a ml 8 min II and GS cloak the rest of the group were not TRs. Trash mob did not wail or fod in part one... the bosses in part two needed preping rather than blitz and Harry took two and a half rounds part four.

By contrast ... I felt guilty a few levels earlier. At level eight I had xp farmed von 5 six times back to back. Hard/Elite runs and my min II made the quest appear as easy as shroud speed runs off level 20's except for a few traps and teach a rogue how to deal with them you'd never guess it was an Elite at level. I was a little frustrated in the fact that most the team did not know the quest and were picking up things the should not have ... but all the same, they need to learn sometime... and I guess was time to lay it out. The people I did this with were pm'ing me for days to come and run it again - I know most of them seeing the XP but many of them I think appreciated actually having someone explain how the quest works and it's series of events. Today I still see many level 20 triple TR's who do not know von 5 ... and in many ways I feel sad about that.

The game is more fun when you do things with risks and play as a team... when you may steamroll a quest the only reason to do so anymore are for some pixels. Fun is contributions not devil scales, dragon scale or eChaos blades. Two to three round Harry is exciting ... taxing the group's playability makes sure everyone is having fun and not just along for a ride to pick up freebie loot.

That's not entirely true. It's not very common, but it certainly happens. Heck, there always seem to be an at level run like this while I'm leveling a toon up, so I make sure to flag at 13 or 14, just in case, and then head back for the XP at 16 or 17. But I'll usually get a Shroud in at 14 or 15. Sometimes it's with these guys, sometimes it's in a pug.
It's a lot less common, but it does happen.

Default TY for the + rep bumps all.

The seven +1's more than made up for the 3 that neg repped me. Guess we know who the ones are that think you have to have a cookie cutter group and run it at level 18-20 to get a shroud done.

If the toon is named after a beer 17 of them are mine & 1 more not named after a beer (the black sheep of the family). Beware there are a few beer imposters out there. Unless the toon has been "Banned From All Guilds" it's a fake Beer_Dude. Fake Beer in your group leaves a nasty taste.

The noobs would have really scoffed at my all monk lvl 14-16 shroud back in the day then, no touch of death, no 10 DR , nothing special, just a bunch of crappy monks....Now THAT was impossible... yet....somehow got done(even though the bastards didn't listen to me about bringing DR breaking ranged weapons, lol.) I wonder how easy it would be now... People don't understand, when things are suboptimal, a little communication goes a long way... Keep showing them the impossible Eric!

    +1.

I remember the guy that showed supprise at us having more than 2 arcane casters in the group on that shroud run. The good thing is he actually stayed around to see how it went and kept an open mind. I can't stand the people who think they know everything. ZOMG!!! 3 wizards???!!! this group is so fail!!!!

Beer_Dude, I haven´t neg repped you (I cannot), but I have to admit I have a problem with you.
I am at work, it is booooooooring and hot. And you remind me that I want to drink a beer. And I live in Germany.
And I cannot have the beer. At least, not at work. So I am drinking a Coke, but it is not the same, sir, not the same.

The problem I usually have with him is that he advertises all of these fun events on the forums, and I can't participate because of my RL schedule. No fair, I say.

Is there some kind of unwritten forum rule stipulating every time a shroud is completed without L18-20s a post must be written about? I'm assuming there must be as it seems like I've read a lot of these in the post 16 cap game.

To be totally fair we did have two barbs in group but on timer sitting out of shroud making fun of us.

It would have been wayyyyyy to easy if 2 of the 3 healers had more than 12 cleric/fvs levels

Best part though was running out of sp on part 5 with harry only having 2 % hp left then watching all the melees move away so he could meteor me to kill me ! I swear that was on purpose for being in the same guild as zig! :P

But the second best part was stainer going nuts in reavers cause everyone kept stealing his aggro while he was trying to tank

The more these narrow minded people see that it gets done they will see it's not a fluke and start to open their mind. Trust me it's not to look for a pat on the back since we were all doing this at level 13-16 in our sleep. Plus it gets people to stand up to these narrow minded people in game. They can say what you just said. They can say look dude you see at level runs that completed in the forums all the time. It's not a big deal. Open it up to the 1st 12 that join and let's go instead of sitting here looking for the perfect group.

I just +1'd you. Even though you call me names in game, just because I point out how frequently you die.

Whayh are you so mean to stainer?
