    Default Best End Game Equipment

    Currently I am playing a level 20 pure light monk, What would be the best end game equipment? What are you using? I am p2p so I have access to all content. I have not obtained any epic gear as of yet. Thanks

    This is in my opinion an excellent setup for an endgame monk.

    Helm: GS HP Item Concordant Opposition (Neg/Pos/Pos)
    Goggles: Epic Goggles of Time-Sensing
    Neck: Shintao Cord
    Cloak: Epic Cape of the Roc
    Bracers: Epic Bracers of the Claw
    Gloves: Epic Gloves of the Claw
    Ring1: Kyosho's Band (Holy Burst)
    Ring2: Encrusted Ring (Shocking Burst)
    Belt: Knost's Belt
    Boots: Whatever (I'd probably throw on Gyroscopics or Epic Boots of Corrosion with some nifty augments)
    Trinket: Epic Bloodstone
    Body: Garments of Equilibrium/Red DScale Robe
    Ideal Wraps for Raid Bosses: +5 Holy Bleed, or craft some +5 Holy GEOB ^.^

    The augment slots on your epics are likely going to change based on what your starting stats were. You'll want to try to fit Exceptional Constitution +1 and Exceptional Wisdom +1. Blindness Ward and Fear Immunity are also helpful in the empty slots, but not entirely necessary. Additionally, consider putting less useful augments on the goggles so that a swap to Tharne's won't hurt you.

    Neck: Shintao Cord
    Cloak: Epic Cape of the Roc Epic Cloak of Night when Mabar rolls around again
    Bracers: Epic Bracers of the Claw Epic Jidz Tet'ka or Epic Scorched Bracers for set bonus (+3 profane to STR for three piece no biscuit)
    Gloves: Epic Gloves of the Claw Epic Charged Gauntlets or Epic Brawling Gloves (CC event)
    Ring1: Kyosho's Band (Holy Burst)
    Ring2: Encrusted Ring (Shocking Burst)
    Belt: Knost's Belt
    Boots: Whatever (I'd probably throw on Gyroscopics or Epic Boots of Corrosion with some nifty augments)
    Trinket: Epic Bloodstone
    Body: Garments of Equilibrium/Red DScale Robe Dragontouched can still work as well, 10/20 healing amp and a guard (I like radiance or melodic guards) or whatever striked your fancy.
    Ideal Wraps for Raid Bosses: +5 Holy Bleed, or craft some +5 Holy GEOB ^.^ Not a boss beater ('cept Abbot) but Epic Wraps of Endless Light make undead an absolute joke
    Additional/alternate suggestions in blue.

    Ac or DPS focused? Things change a bit.

    Given the bad critical range of unarmed combat, I think Litany of the Dead and its profane bonuses would pull ahead.

    I think Concordant Opposition is kinda wasted on melee characters without a blue bar; I would go for Radiance II (although sometimes it can be annoying), Smoke II ( = perma-blur) or AirX3.

    I would consider the following changes:
    - bracers, boots, cloak: Abishai's set; 3 green slots, one colorless slot, one yellow slot, +7 CON, +5 Resistance, Greater Fire and Acid Resistance, +8 AC, +3 profane bonuses to Natural Armor and STR;
    - goggles: Raven's Sight (True Seeing, +2 exceptional WIS);
    - trinket: Gem of Many Facets (yellow slot); it would provide Vulkoor's Might (replacing Bracers of the Claw) and Raven's Eye.
    On Thelanis: Hallelujah (EK wraith) - Jerryrigged Juggernaut (Fiend Warlock) - Sepulchral (Druid) - Chopchopchop (Monk) - Alleyshadow (retired gimped monkcher). Formerly on Keeper : Misericordia (Thug) - Mumbo Jumbo (Battle Caster) - Infernal Can (WF Kinda Cleric) - Halleluyah (Melee Spellsinger).

    I'll agree it is wasted to a degree, however I have noticed the HP proc helps to mitigate damage especially while tanking. I've enjoyed having it on my main for Monk, Ranger, Rogue, and Paladin lives.

    The issue I see here is that while yes, you are taking advantage of the abishai set, you eliminate the +2 exceptional bonus to both Con and Str. Being that he is a Monk, he's going to want bursts on ToD rings to maximize damage.

    Epic Bracers of the Claw and Epic Stinkpelt's Hide are the only two other sources of Exceptional Constitution +2 in the game (one obviously won't work), and Epic Cape of the Roc and Epic Ring of Baphomet are the only sources of Exceptional Strength +2 (once again, one doesn't work with this build).

    Due to this loss, the net gain is +1 Strength and a net loss of -1 Con. Resistance could still be slotted on the build I posted, GFR is easily obtained from ship buffs or spells, and AC generally isn't viable in epic content (which I'm assuming the OP is trying to optimize for)

    I agree with use of the goggles to a degree, but sacrificing either Litany or BStone for +4 to-hit doesn't seem worth it at all, especially with the Shintao set equipped.

    I'm not saying your gear setup is bad; I'm just providing a different option.

    You lose +2 exceptional CON, but you have plenty of slots to add +1 exceptional CON, which is missing in your setup: +7 CON +1 exc CON = 8 = +6 CON + 2 exc CON.

    As for elemental resistances, it's personal preference, but I prefer having them on gear since:
    - some epic quests, those where you actually need ship buffs (e.g. CoF, WK), sometimes last longer than 1 hour;
    - sometimes my characters die (I'm sure it's only me) and I lose "ship buffs";
    - if you die in battle, when you get raised re-buffing is faster.

    Assuming that you are hitting with Power Attack on, I agree that Litany or Bloodstone provide more DPS; ofc it depends on the build but, if you are experiencing misses, that +4 bonus to attack rolls might help.

    Moreover, I prefer having some degree of flexibility in my gear: for instance, when I'm spamming KI-strikes and I need very fast KI generation, I sometimes swap Shintao's cord with Oremi's necklace, losing Shintao's +2 to attack rolls.

    I agree entirely :-) all of what we have provided here is a solid baseline for the OP to make an informed decision. Thank you for your knowledge and support Rusty ^.^ +1

    Yah, but getting the first pair into endgame is a royal pain.
