Does evasion for monks work the same as it does for rogues meaning light armor or does it only work while wearing robes or outfits?

evasion is light armor or less.
centered is robes/outfits.

Evasion is evasion, regardless of how you get it.

That's what I thought, but since I'm at home wasn't able to check on my monk. I was trying to firm up a build while at work and thought I was missing something regarding monks and evasion. Bodic cleared it up for me, thanks!
