Default Greensteel overwrite. Is it true?

Someone in my guild told me he read somewhere that if you mess up your GS item you can go back and overwrite it with the correct recipe. Is this true?

For example, if I do the wrong recipe at tier 2 can I go back to tier 2 and do another recipe, overwriting what was done earlier?

Nope. There was a time when you could overwrite changes in the new Cannith crafting system, but that got removed in 10.2. Maybe that's what the guildie was thinking about?

Fernando has stated that Green Steel deconstruction is on their to-do list for the very near future, but they haven't actually introduced it yet.

Fernando is a manager, so by definition, not trusworthy in matters of promises or game knowledge. Chances are, he doesn't know what greensteel even is. Remember his: loot para greatsword, move para to dagger?

Unlikely. He doesn't Cannith craft and wouldn't know about overwriting Cannith items.

On a side note, I've been doing Cannith crafting since the beginning and I don't remember a time when you could make changes without using a Dust of Disjunction to completely strip it down again. Perhaps this option was short lived (like two days) and I missed it?

No, but it required one to turn off overwrite warnings in the user CP to do it and wasn't heavily advertised. It took me happening upon a forum post to figure out it was possible.

And Druids have been on their to-do list for how long now?
