I would assume as it is now part of the cannith crafting and there is a fail percentage - yes, there is a chance.

There is.

I tested it using EOB Unbound and Medium Arrowheads - lost one each time I failed the recipe.

Do NOT craft unless you have 100% success chance. Such is my recommendation.

btw, tip for crafting your high lvl items-> do the tutorial quest. it will give you as an end reward a 5 uses booster of +10% success rate
