do diabolists conjuration +3 stack with Greater Might of the Abishai

This is very important i have read some stuff and have seen both sides. Those saying it should and those saying it should not. If anyone has the full set (all 5 pieces) and the robe or docent can you please check if it increases your conjuration dc by 6 or just 3. This is important as i am planning my tr on my wiz and finishing some gear and choosing feats. the wording says it profane so should stack but i just want to be sure.

So please someone check it out and let me know.

It does not as neither 5-piece or 3-piece set increase the DC. It does stack in ways that they affect different things. The Robe/Docent affects DC, the set increases the caster level (see below).

When all five items are equipped you will gain ..., and a +3 bonus to your caster level on evocation and conjuration spells.

Caster level has nothing to do with DCs. Caster levels generally only affect things like duration (ie: 1 min./caster level), damage dice (ie 1d6 per caster level) or bonus (ie: spells that have base dice and additional +1 /caster level; ie: 1d8+1 per caster level).

It used to be so, now it raises DC of conjuration and caster level on evocation.

ok, read the post. It seems that profane when it comes to melee means something different then when it comes for arcanes. It says +3 profane for the set so it should stack with regular bonuses.

Glad i found this out. Now i ahve to think about the build plans all over again. I mean getting all 5 pieces is not easy. Then having it not stack is well imo useless.might not even bother with the base set anymore.

You're reading it wrong, it gives a +3 profane bonus to strength and con.(period) additionally it gives a caster level bonus to evocation and a +3 bonus to the dc of conjuration, the sentences are seperate and you're ignoring the puncutation.

That being said, it definately does not stack, however that was awesome news to me as the only thing on the docent that made me unable to justify using any of the other awesome available docents was that +3 conj focus. Now I can free the slot and make a mabar! :-D
