Renown check?

Anyone notice a decrease in renown awards or have I just ran into a perpetual wall of crummy loot rolls?

It has varied for me but anyone that knows me knows that for some reason I have loaded dice and in the bad way that is.

Yes, I am noticing the same thing. It might be why our guild is yoyoing more than normal. at l75, l76, we are decaying 58K-66K/day. Our intake is usually much higher than that so we are wondering what is going on.

But when I think of the chests, I have been seeing less renown awards then I am used to. I am also seeing a paucity of Legendary and Impressive. This while running a 4th life toon, maintaining my elite BB.

I'm still seeing a fair amount of renown rewards in my rewards, roughly 30-50% my renown rewards are 500/1000 renown trophies. I'm not noticing as much in chests though. I think the end rewards are better now that they adjust on difficulty level.

i noticed this too.

but i guess for Durkun its cause im Level 23 atm and doing e.g. a hard Shroud (Level 18) its normal to get less renown now cause of the 5 level dif.

Doing at level stuff I get around the same as always, I believe. But since it varies a lot, it's hard to tell one way or the other.

Yes, I seem to be getting a lot less reknown since I've started running mostly Eveningstar quests. Not sure if its isolated to those quests or global, but my guild's total reknown production is definitely down per active account recently.

Only had time for a handful of runs yesterday afternoon, using my lvl 20 WF FVS, and they were:

Von1 (x2, both EH, both full PUG)
Lords of Dust (x2, both EH, both full PUG)
Blown to Bits (normal, solo)

From the chests and end rewards of those 5 runs I pulled 3 Legendary Victories, 2 Impressive Trophies, and a handful of Deeds. I juice my renown pulls with a pot (and our small guild size bonus). Those renown pulls and the in-quest renown wins the runs totaled around 34k

Oh, and one of the chests in the first Dust run gave me a +3 wis tome. Was feeling like the planets were all in alignment - - until I got home and found my in-laws were staying overnight

The other night some guildies and I were doing Dreaming Dark and were pulling Legendaries and Impressives left an right. I have not noticed a decrease.

Renown only drops in chests when the party is at level or reasonably so. I have no idea about epic renown drops... Been TRingw lately.

are you on a Guild renown pot? maybe its just me but whenever i drink a guild renown pot seems like little to no guild renown can be found in chests and when i do its tales of valor or heroic deeds :'(. if you are using pots try not using them. I tested this by 1 day making a note of how much guild renown I made of a day of playing with a guild renown pot. Then of course I made a note of how much guild renown i earned off a pot during a day of playing. want to say i earned 2k more off the pot when playing.

Please others try same thing and let me know how it went for you.

to get better results i know i should try it vice versa and more times ect.. but i do not want to waste my time and ddo points doing too much testing if others want to that would be AWESOME! please post results

We are bleeding renown. I notice myself less end reward renown. only lower renown in chests pulls. But that might just be my toon rolls. I think a combination of it is the bonus is over and a whole lot of new items are dropping so people are taking those instead. Hope it gets fixed soon

Couple things to bear in mind.

1) None of the ebberon epic quests currently have guild renown in end rewards.

2) many quests that used to be decently at level (pretty much all non epic raids for example) are
now below level for capped characters.

3) most of the ebberon epic quests are below level for capped characters. Many of them are lvl 21 on epic hard.

4) This might be more specific to my guild: A lot of people started grinding destiny xp after MotU came out
and were stripped on all chests in the quests they ran, or ran challenges. Our guild renown income
has picked up again once people got to 50 epic destiny levels on their pet characters and started more
casual questing and/or tring again.

That's just a few reasons why I think many guilds have seen a decline of renown after MotU hit.
