Reaver worth of doing?

After I done a lot of leet reavers, I noticed that everyone got all the loot piceces they want, so they're putting everything on roll.
I never saw a single +3 or even +2 tome, nor in chest, nor on 20th list.
So I wonder, if they drop at all, and is there any point of continuing running this raid over and over?

I pulled a +3 tome not long ago but they seem to be really rare. For the time it takes I'd say it's worth it.

Sad as it may sound, Reaver is my main source of +3 tomes lol (well, other than Shroud if I don't need a cleanser). Must have pulled at least 4-5 there, not counting end-rewards.

They do drop, they're just rare due to how easy Reavers is. I've had a +3 int appear in my 20th, 40th, and 60th (but nothing in my 80th), along with pulling 3 +3 DEX, 3 +3 WIS, and 1 +3 CON tome in my 92 or so completions on my main character. I put all but the first +3 WIS tome up for roll.

That said, Reavers Fate is 10-15 minutes for 4 chests and an end reward, so it's a fairly quick, easy, and good source of crafting/decon materials and plat.

It's a low level quest. We have previously been told the chance of a +2/+3 tome dropping is roughly 1%

There are however some good items in that quest. Madstone boots being the most in demand, but the shield isn't half bad either. Prior to the nerf, Dreamspitter used to be a solid weapon, it not as useful, but its also not half bad in that it is one of the few weapons in the game that will bypass DR in Dreaming Dark. The head of good fortune is still a nice trinket for the luck bonus. When run "at level" the XP isn't bad considering how easy the raid is.

A lot of the items are now quite dated and thus are freely passed, but they can still be useful on specific builds.

+3s are rare, but you have a good chance at pulling one every 40-60 completions.

"good chance" does not mean guaranteed, of course.

I have 3 or 4 dreamspitters, and couple of reavers items, there is literally no raid loot on this quest i want.
For me boots are just junk to be thrown away as soon as i take them from 20th list.

Anyone got info on chance to pull any tome on 20th list?

Yes...its in my quote above. I believe the exact dev quote was 0.9% (rolled individually for each loot slot)

Oh, I though 1% is chance on tome in chest, and I though on 20th its higher.
So, 2 months of waiting on 0,9% chance.
Now I understand why people are offering tons of plat and scales for tomes in chests...

This. Deconstruction, and plat. It only takes 15 minutes usually, and you can always use more plat. Think of the small chance of a tome as a BONUS, if ur lucky enough to get one.

I got a +3 on my 20ths.. but didnt do many more after, I had my loot (was gauntlets of eternity for my cleric, would be boots for melee) on my 9th run and only did the remaining ones for the tome. Doing 20 more for another +3 is too much imho.

this makes me sad, in my almost 2 years of playtime, i've only ever looted 2 +2 tomes from a chest, rest were bought or traded for. :/

Shroud has a high chance of a +3 tome on 20th completion. I have got to 20 at least 4 times and have only NOT seen a +3 tome once.

Revers has a very low chance in the chest, 0.9% as mentioned above, and I would guess a 50% chance on your 20th. I have seen 3 on about 7 20th completions.

Is it worth doing? YES! 4 chests with the chance of +3 tomes and loads of loot to vendor, decon or sell on the broker.

According to the Raid Loot Drop Rates thread, it's a 4% chance to get a +3 tome, but that's *if* you get a raid loot item at all. On elite, that's actually a 0.8% chance to see a +3 Tome each time you pop the chest.

It's a 4% chance per slot to see one in your 20th list, so about a one in three chance to see at least one overall (assuming there are 10 slots for the 20th list, I forget the exact number).

Sad as it sounds, I've gotten almost all of my +3 tomes from Reaver completions. The raid seems to like me... dunno.

In any case, it's easy and quick enough... no reason not to do it unless you hate it or don't have the pack or something.
