"Reign of Madness" flagging question

Three weeks ago I ran "Acute Delirium". I got the quest from Rorry Malcanus and received end reward. Yesterday I ran "Lord of Eyes" with a PUG. When entering the door I saw "You are not on the story arc" red message. I did not get end reward; I did speak afterward with Elawyn Thwrd (sp?) and received the overarching quest assignment.

Did I screw up the flagging mechanic, and do I need to run "Acute Delirium" again? And if not, would I mess anything up if I do run it again? (I may want to -- it is a fun quest)

Your good, they made all the latest quest series 100% dummy proof. Theres no way to mess anything up.

Just continue to play the quests.

Once you complete all 4 quests - in any order, you can get a chain end reward.

To flag for the lord of eyes, you do need to do the first 3 quests. Thus you have lord of stone and sane asylum left.

Since you weren't flagged while doing, it you may need to redo it (and only it) to get the chain end reward.

Looks like you are right. I just checked MyDDO log -- it shows "Completed Dungeon: Lord of Eyes", but not "Completed Quest". For Acute Delirium, it shows both.

You can do Acute Delirium, Lord of Stone, and Sane Asylum in any order. Once you do all three, you will unlock Lord of Eyes. Then you can complete Lord of Eyes and turn it in to get your chain end reward.

Once you've done the chain once, you can do the four quests in any order without any harm.

In your specific case, you will have to do Lord of Eyes again after doing Sane Asylum and Lord of Stone, because it was not granted to you when you completed the dungeon.

The new chain system, used by Lordsmarch, Reign of Madness, Harbinger of Madness, Phiarlan Carnival, and the current Red Fens is the best setup, and most forgiving to doing things "out of order". I hope to see this setup used when chains get changed or updated (as what happened with VoN flagging). Necro 1 and 2 are most in need of a change, and Necro 3 makes you lose your Cursed Crypt flag if you retake any of the four flagging quests.
