Personally I would go with something like an 18/2 FvS Monk split with twf on scimmys and scimitar enhancements as well as Undying court enhancements. Probably one of the best builds ive done whilst using an elf. I dont recall ever taking Oversized TWF thuogh...

I pretty much just took the 2nd level of Monk after getting blade barrier, and the TWF and other feats when the BAB allowed it.

    Also, wings are hot.

If you have Fvs and Monk I would try The Really good FvS. If not try an elven Tempest Ranger here. Either are pretty doable.

may be old, and dps might suck, but scimitars arnt the best damage weapons.

Either tempest ranger or a kensai fighter

scimi's are great for their crit range

Also, scimi's aren't terrible dps .. people just don't like anything that isn't a kopesh
    Sarlona - The Silent Accord
    Choyce (10th life, Rogue/Ranger splash) - Zedekia (20 Favored Soul, 2nd life)
Vallheru (20 Monk, 2nd life) - Julle (20 Spellsinger Bard)
    Nimblum (20 Rogue) - Xzanthus (20 Wizard)

You're not going to come up with a scimitar build which out-DPSes a khopesh build, but with the Valenar enhs you can come close. And the silver lining to the recent nerf to helplessness is low-crit-multiplier weapons like scimitars do better in the DPS rankings vs helpless mobs than they used to.

I would try to make a build which takes advantage of one of the elves' other advantages: the Shadow DMs - specifically Lesser DM for free Displacement to boost your survivability. A pure Kensai certainly has the feats to spare for them. Also have a look at my Shadow Berserker. I've also got a monk 2 / pally 6 / ftr 12 a la Valenar Crusader which has them; and ftr-splashed Tempest. Basically any build with feats to spare can add the Shadow DMs.

If you can live without the dilly feat, you can certainly make an elf version of the "Helves Angel."

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=289591

This Fighter 12-Ranger 6-Monk 2 level split takes advantage of the (half) elves' ability to use the AA prestige without having to take ranger levels for it, using the fighter and monk levels both for free feats and other goodies. Since you'll be using scimitars (one less feat), it may not be too much trouble to splash 2 Rogue for UMD instead, if you prefer it, and to make up for the fact that you won't have the ability to use cleric dilly.

To me the racial AA prestige enhancement is one of the most interesting features of the elf race and is worth considering.
White Fang (newbie-friendly build) - TWF melee dps with self-sufficiency and rogue skills.
California King - the hagglebot craftbot alt build, pure Arty leveling with two-handed weapons.
