    Default ToD rings

    Hi

What do you get with the Incredible Potential if you upgrade it?
Is it just the exceptional stat bonus that goes from +1 to +2 or something different?

    Sincere

Yeah I saw that but could not figure out how it works..

So the 9 Shavarath Trophies of War I need have to be 3 of each of the Focus type, Gem type and essence type?

Charge a shroud shard same way you do for greensteel, insert war trophies, charged shard, and ring and crunch.

    Greater Shard of Power fyi..

On the page, http://ddowiki.com/page/Incredible_Potential, it states in the NOTES:

Elemental/Alignment Burst - these only apply to Unarmed attacks. See developer quote below for its stacking nature with Handwraps.

Can someone confirm that this means if you upgrade a ring with Holy Burst, that it wouldn't apply if you were using a weapon?

The rings' blank spot can be replaced with anything from the list of effects from here:
    http://ddowiki.com/page/Incredible_P...skin=sparseman

So you make the Foci, Gems, and Essences that you want to creat an imbued shard of power, that you then place with the ring and 9 trophies to upgrade it. Say you added +2exceptional str to a ring that already had +6 enhancement bonus to str, and a +1 exceptional bonus to str. You would then get a ring with +6str/+1excep str/+2 excep str. Ie it doesnt replace anything but the Incredible Potential slot, so the other stats remained untouched no matter what you add.

Also, if you decide to add a burst effect, itll only proc if you are using unarmed fighting. Also, say youre using +1 holyburst wraps of xyz, and craft holy burst onto your ring, they dont stack, ie you dont et the benifit from the ring. Instead, if you used something like a pair of +1 holy wraps of xyz, you would get a Holy effect and a Holy Burst effect. So if you craft a burst onto your rings, make sure you dont use wraps with that burst effect already on them.

I'm just going to post my own site, but there are several others that can help with it, so I'd suggest finding whatever one makes you feel the most comfortable with it -- if you go here and select "Ring Effects" from the filters it will show you all the available options and then clicking "Craft" will show you exactly what you have to do to create it and put it onto your ring.

    Thanks for the clarification, folks.
I was hoping not to have to make a Min II bow, guess that'll be next on my list.

I want to address a couple of misconceptions:

when you add Exceptional Intelligence +2 to a Rahkir's Ring (which already has Exceptional Intelligence +1),
the ring then has both +2 and +1 for a total of +3. This is contrary to the normal rules for stacking bonuses, but is similar to the rules for the Dodge bonus.

the nine Shavarath trophies needed are pulled from Horoth's chest. At least one trophy will drop for each player in his chest, and they Bind to Account. There's only one type of trophy, and they stack and go in ingredient bags.

the Greater Shard of Power is the same as from The Shroud. The medium ingredients are the same as from The Shroud. You can use the ones you got from The Shroud, along with any you pull from the chest in Part 2 of ToD.

the recipes for the Greater Shard of Power are similar to Green Steel recipes, but there's no strict correlation between Green Steel recipes and Incredible Potential recipes. Check the ddowiki or a ToD ring planner before crafting.
