Default Which essences should I pick when disjunkkin'

I haven't yet really decided whether or not it'll be too expensive for me to really go into crafting,
I haven't yet really decided what I will want. (I'll have to read all those messages from experts.)

For now I'm disjuncting everything and saving the essences, figuring I will use most for crafting levels and eventually and sell what I don't need.

In general, when I am given a choice between essence types when disjuncting an item, are there some essences I should steer clear of or some that are more valuable for selling or making items than others? I realize a lot depends on what I might want to make in the future, but I'm wondering if there are any obvious "nah those aren't worth anything" or "you definitely want those".

    I personally aim for:
    1) Good Essences
    2) Arcane Essences
    3) Whichever is the higher tier (More essences on disjunct)

Those are my only three criteria (in that order) so far. I'm looking forward to hearing what others have to say.

    I agree with Dawnsfire list.

Also for a long time I thought the 1 was a 3 in the crafting UI. Whoever designed that font should have their eyes checked and whoever approved it should be ...

I will always take a higher tier disjunct over a lower tier one. If it's a tie, I tend to favor divine-types > arcane-types > elemental types. Or if the item is like a +5 sword of grade 2 prefix/grade 2 suffix (ie, high base value, low crafting grade), I may just sell it for plat.

As someone who has a crafting toon 100/100/100 and am looking at the serious climb to 125, this question has 2 answers.

    1. If you are looking to get a stock of ingredients and don't care about the xp, then i would chose Divine, then Arcane then Elemental in that order. Unless the level difference between the choices was large...i.e. 1 vs 5 then I would take the 5 every time regardless of the school.

    2. If you are looking at leveling recycling stye, then take the highest level each and every time regardless of the individual essence.

Either way, I only decon equipment and not weapons. The difference in base value is usually too much to not sell the weapon.

(BTW, I spent so much time in the crafting hall, I eventually named all the machines...the decon machine is Sally)

As someone who has leveled most of the way I have a simple crafting mantra: getting essences is easy, levels are the hard part (and with this update, just get harder)

    Stay thirsty my friends
