    Default Minimum Levels WAI?

    Only had a chance to play for maybe an hour, and crafted the weapon below on a whim. The minimum level on it seems pretty low, but didn't get a chance to make anything else, so couldn't compare to any other items (and I'm not conversant in what the normal ML for a Lesser Dragon Bane weapon you'd pull randomly might be...)

    Notice at the top right it's only a +1 Enhancement Bonus. So yeah, it's right.

    I think it's because Greater Devotion I is a +0 Shard.

    Yea you can get superior devotion 2, or even better an ardor clicky with ultra low ml in random loow, 1-2 tops...

    And crafted is meant to be lower, so yea that seems to be working fine for the particular item. I'd like to see how higher lvls of devotion/ardor scale now.

    previously a basic crafted superior ardor II click would be ml7, while a lootgen one was ml2, way out of wack.. Maybe its improved.

    It might be the devotion recipe the one that is +0, while the bane shard is +1.
    So yeah, it is lower level because it has no enhancement bonus at all.

    There's a bit of controversy or lack thereof that minimum level should be lower than on random loot *counting* the +1 enhancement, not because of skipping it.
    And that's not mentioning PnP, since not having at least +1 is like having a 'non-magical magical' weapon.
    It was suggested in other threads that an easy fix can be to let the +1 shard start with a +0 modifier.
    For a better comparison think of the +1 holy, on random loot is min lv 4, while crafted is min lv 5, you only get to have a min lv 3 holy by losing the bonus.

    Correction.. "was"

    A dev flatout said the intended ML of crafted gear should be equal to random gear minus 1. So that' discussion was solved, all thats left to do is report exactly what not working towards that intended goal.

    So a RR random item is still lower, but most crafted stuff would be -1 vs non RR random loot.

    Don't remember who, think either madfloyd or eladrin, check the dev tracker.

    But later MF said that they are ok with things as they are at least with the ML of weapons.
