*** nevermind - did a little more research and found out I do NOT get to select spells during the lesser reincarnation process.***
It makes sense on one hand since I retained my old spellbook for new casting levels where I did not have spells originally selected I thought I would get a choice of spells. I guess this is too complicated / or would give someone an advantage. I am just not that intelligent to see all the angles. Bites having missed out on selecting level 3 spells. The ones which are rare and cannot be obtained from vendors in the game are the ones which I would like to have had a chance to acquire:
Acid Blast
Chain Missiles
Frost Lance

>> Recently I lesser reincarnated my warforged wizard/fighter. He is level 7. Before the reincarnation he was 4 levels of wizard / 3 levels of fighter. I wanted to make him a palemaster so I swapped 2 levels of fighter for wizard. After reincarnation he has 6 levels of wizard / 1 level of fighter (and has the palemaster prestige enhancement). All is good except when I finished the reincarnation I can cast level 3 spells (previously as only a level 4 wizard could not). I kept my spell book but do not recall being allowed to pick any level 3 spells during the leveling process.
I bought some level 3 spells to add to my spell book but was wondering if I should have been given the opportunity to pick spells during the leveling progress? Is this normal not to be given the opportunity to add spells during the lesser reincarnation process? If so, why?
As a side note, I have had fun playing the palemaster's zombie form with the lesser death aura, haste, inflict critical wound pots, etc... but I have a lot still to learn about being undead.
