First of all I would like to see improvements to the epic augment crystals.
For one I would like to see the ability to add +7 in an ability to an item. You can get +6 to a stat on normal gear, and to only match the same kind of buffs found on normal, random loot, is not very epic at all.
Next I would like to see the ability to add +20 to any stat, except UMD into a colorless augment slot. UMD should be limited to say a +5 augment crystal. The main issue I have is with rogues, who are a skill dependent class. Should you choose anything but the Epic Utility Vest as your body armor you end up painting yourself into corners and forcing yourself into hard and even harder decisions on your other gear slots. This makes the Birthday Suit (Epic Duelist Leathers) of very limited use and almost a novelty / trash item. No epic item in this game should be considered trash, yet many are just that. Useless pixels that you have to struggle to even give away.
Lastly, I would like to see more item effects added to the augment crystals. Starting with the weapons. We should be able to add any kind of damage prefix and suffix we desire to our weapons, from Metalline, Holy Burst, Elemental Bursts, and Bodyfeeding to Lesser Vampirism, Maiming, and Pure Good, Smiting (and other bane type dmg), Paralyzing, Vorpal. Epic Items should be the top tier weapons in the game, not ML 12 Greesteel.
As for the non weapon effects, Deathblock, Deathward, True Seeing, Freedom of Movement, Blur, Ethereal, I can literally sit here all day and name cool effects that should be available. And while we are at it why is DT armor that can be run in normal quests having better runes than epic augment crystals offer? At the very least the epic augment crystals should have an equal or better counterpart than the DT runes, eg. 30% healing amp, Striding +30%, Superior False Life, Incite 30%, +7 stat already mentioned above, Protection +6, Spell Resistance 25, Wizardry VIII, Efficient Metamagic Tier III's, Greater Spell Penetration IX, Greater Arcane Sigil -15% ASF, Dodge Bonus +5, Natural Armor Bonus +6, Heightened Awareness 6, Superior Elemental Energy +30 HP, Superior Elemental Spell Power +150 SP, Superior Spell Penetration IX, Epic Combustion (and other spell dmg types including Negative and Positive) +75% Dmg, Epic Potency IX +10% Stacking Spell Dmg on all Spells of level 9 or less, Greater Stability. You get the idea.
It does not have to be this specific change, but something has to be done to increase the power, usefulness, and flexibility of epic gear. If nothing else put in Epic versions of all this stuff that will allow stacking bonuses to skills, weapon dmg, etc. Because as it sits now, perhaps 1/4 of the epic items in this game are truly useful, and the rest are trash or inferior to ML 11-12 Green Steel.
One last wish oh master of my masters.... Could we please bring in epic item / shard / seal deconstruction? Yes that is right, an epic deconstruction altar that will give you epic fragments, say from 5-50 (5d10) for each shard or seal that you deconstruct. Full on Epic items should give you x3 the roll, since there is a shard, seal, and scroll that has been used to craft it.
Anyways, a change similar to this would put epic items where they should be, as the top desired tier of gear for each and every slot of each and every character of each and every build.
