Default Help on SP drain in IQ.

    Hi all,

once again I need some advice from the community

Doing Finding the Path on elite for the first time today, I realized that the DreamReavers (and maybe some other mobs too?) are draining my SP (on each successful hit?).

Is there any possibility to prevent it? Any buffs? It was rather chaotic, so I didn't check which buffs I still had on me and which already ran out.

Thanks for any help in advance...

It's save based - can't remember if it is Fort or Will, however.

And yes, it's on hit, save based. So Displacement would help, naturally.

    Thx for the reply.

It would be great to know whether Fort or Will (maybe someone even knows the DCs???). I can easiliy get my Will-Saves up by another 7-10 points (to the low-mid 30ies). Fort not so much.

I use Displacement, but since I am somehow undergeared on my bard, it takes a while to kill the enemies. I ended up w/o spellpoints for the final fight . No Haste/Rage/Displacement -- bad bard.

You know about the SP regen bit in the middle right?

On my casters I also basically keep moving CONSTANTLY doing a circle. Don't let them hit you ;-)
Ghallanda - now with fewer alts and more ghostbane

What is that about SP regen? Must have missed it.

Hard to keep a distance on a melee bard ...

He said the run was on elite, the spell point regen area in the center only works on casual/normal difficulty, not hard/elite.

After the NPC puts you in a sleep trance and you wake up, you are basically in a large square area, in the center is like a fountain thing...on casual/normal difficulties you can run in and out of it and get spell points back much like the fountains in part 5 of the shroud.

No numbers? Can noone provide some numbers on the DCs and whether it's Will or Fortitude?

Nevermind, thank you for the hints so far ...

    It's a will save.
But just to reduce the damage some, you can't completely negate it.

Some details are on the wiki:
    http://ddowiki.com/page/Dream_Reaver

Spell Point Damage has a low Will? save, (3+12 saved on normal)and Deals 1d6 sp damage on hit, regardless of result. Failed save seems to result in 2d12 (Rolled a 1 and took 22 SP damage) SP damage

DC may be low on normal, but i found it to be high enough that I never made it on a 2 on elite as I recall on my sorc who had a decent willsave around ~28, so its a fairly high dc on elite.

And yea only the renders (reavers) do it, which also happen to be the hardest to kill and most dangerous.

Thanks... how could I have missed the wiki. Sounds like some challenge for my Warchanter.
