So now we must return to the original question: is anyone who misses Malicia on a 2 gimped? Look at all that gear. Epic gear. +4 tome. Just to barely hit on a 2 while holding aggro.

It is an epic quest isn't it? Expecting characters to have epic gear in order to guarantee on 2+ with aggro doesn't seem unreasonable.

What Cratesmasher and you have demonstrated is that the extra 2 points in STR isn't needed -- validating Therigar's point from the weekend.

The question about gimp or not gimp is just a distraction. But, since you've shown that hitting on 2+ is possible w/o the extra 4 STR points I'm sort of leaning to yes, missing on a 2 is gimp when you are talking epics.

You are the one who threw out the gimped toon label not anyone else. It seems like a stretch to complain about someone else noting their own views about something you yourself brought up.

If the answer to all of the above is "no", as I suspect most people would say, then it should be easy for you to show a TWF, non-Fighter, non-Barbarian, with no external buffs, with no flanking bonuses, and no non-sustainable or consumable buffs that can hit Malicia on a 2. If no such character exists, then your statement is logically false.

If you construct your position so that you eliminate every way of answering then you must be right.

It is obvious that there is a way to build a character that hits Malicia on 2+ with minimum BAB of 20 even while tanking. So if the character does exist in theory at the least. Cratesmasher showed that as you did with your additions to his post.

Not satisfied with that you've changed the parameters to non-fighter and non-barbarian. Were I in Cratesmasher's place I'd just ask how many times do people have to tank Malicia without a fighter or barbarian.

By definition any character that doesn't have aggro receives flank and sneak bonuses. I guess people can find a way to mess that up by standing on top of the tank instead of standing behind the target. I don't know enough about DDO to know if that would prevent the flank attack bonuses.

Otherwise every other character who doesn't have aggro is entitled to those bonuses in making the calculations. You can change the criteria but you can't change the fact that it was pretty easy to show that Malicia could be hit.

To whine about the solution requiring epic gear shows a lot about you. It is an epic quest after all. Using epic gear to get to the solutions doesn't appear unfair at all. That you would whine about it or insist on it not being included only shows that you aren't interested in a discussion or debate at all.
