And when you go water, there will be a combination or two of abilities that beats you as well. Its inevitable in a game with this many abilities and directions people can build for.

I'll make this short.

Neither did the OP or I myself mention anything about furthering pvp, we're talking about current pvp events which makes half your post invalid. You may ask why wouldn't a pvp supporter ask for this? Because I know what type of game DDO is and the last thing the developers would do is spend time and money on on pvp.

I'm sorry you fail to see the comparison I made, you have to look at the bigger picture. I don't think I know of a mainstream MMO that doesn't have some form of pvp. They may not want to further it which I can fully understand but there is a reason they implemented the system to begin with. I hope you can see the connection.

DDO developers will never spend extra resources on furthering pvp and I came to terms with this long ago but that doesn't mean i'll ditch going into the taverns every now then.

Finally, I wasn't discouraging anyone from trying out pvp, my post was aimed towards the people who continually bash pvp if you didn't notice..

seriously, try playing a few other classes so you get a feel of there strengths/weaknesses.

air savant is extremely powerful for both pvp and pve content, i wouldn't recommend any other savant over it.

Just my thoughts on PvP. I happen to like pvp alot, and i go to pvp very often to test dps on my barbarian, but i love questing as well, people need to learn to accept pvp is part of the game.

AND i do not think it is unbalanced at all.

Air Savant sucks in PvP. I used to just Icy Prison everybody, but no, I wanted to fly.

Well, this 20ranger came down and did his full Manyshot and did nothing but 0s because I have godlike DR.

While this was happening, his guildy fvs dude was pounding me with spells, which my ioun stone absorbed.

He managed to drain my stone by the time the ranger's manyshot was out and I killed it, so then killed the fvs.

The 2nd time, I had no charges. (they make me go in first they won't go in otherwise)

So I sat there and had to kill the ranger because the fvs was using DP and stuff on me.

While trying to kill the same ranger that did 0s to me blocking, BAM! I died. Let me tell you what happened.

Slayer Arrows (500) + Smiting's Bane (100) + -4 CON from Wounding (40) + Base Damage of 4 arrows + affects.

That's over 640 damage just because he had a Wounding Longbow of Smiting. Lesson: Go Ice Savant.

What would have happened if I were Ice Savant is this: Icy Prison, ranger dies, destroy fvs, then wait for more.

Good, its called karma for cheapning out with icy prison. You are a perfect example of whats wrong with pvp. That and the favored soul relying on dots.
