Default Things I'd like to see coming to DDO

Here I would like to share some ideas, their source of inspiration and some points why they would be nice to have.

    ------------------------------------
Small Widget for Dungeon Alert levels (GUI):
    ------------------------------------
One thing I ran into quite often playing on a laptop is trying to minimize/organize the gui that i can still play well enough but also see more of the scenery as well. I was questing in Coalessence Chamber a lot a few days ago and the dungeon alert popped up quite some time. That often was quite annoying to have that relatively big popup, well showing up that many times.

Solution could be some smaller widget close to the Map Widget, that has all the states, I think there are currently 3 levels of dungeon alert. Simply shown with a color changing button or a bar.

    ------------------------------------
    Spell Sequencer
    ------------------------------------
This idea was inspired mainly by the plethora of buffs released at higher levels by the casters, it must be tiresome to cast the same 8-10 spells all the time, esp when completing a quest multiple times.

The spell sequencer could be either another spell or an active feat that has to be prepared and then triggered. Three levels could give preparation ability for 3-6-9 spells? too much? Maybe 2-4-6?

    The benefits:
*Overall casting time is shorter (based on spell levels?)
*Multiple casting of the same spell with one trigger
    *Convenience
    *Powerful spell combos
*Multiple chance to apply an effect in tight situations

    Limitations:
*More costy since you need SP for the trigger. (based on spell levels?)
*Can only be prepped at rest zones
*Target has to match for all spells included: ie: friend, aoe buffs, enemy target
*No massive aoe offensive spells like firewall

Issues: Balancing and synergy with enhancer feats like Maximize Spell.

    -----------------------------------
    More effective fighter tactical feats
    -----------------------------------
Playing 95% as a Fighter i have always liked the trip/stun/sap options however found them sort of useless as getting into higher level content. Not to mention that stunning an opponent while a caster instakills it in 1 sec is kind of useless.

*The Earthshaker - This could be an enhanced stunning blow with area of effect when you use a thf blunt weapon on cleave and whirlwind.

*Improved Slicing Blow - Doubles the con damage range, plus crushing blow vs reflex save that instantly removes 25% hp of a target, that is not recoverable. Working on mini bosses/dungeon bosses (not on raid ones). Enchantments could further advance the difficulty to bypass crushing effect. Maybe an option to apply to cleaves as well. (It is not overpowered when you consider niac's ray that works on minibosses and have a chance to instakill mini bosses, also that is ranged and more devastating).

    ------------------------------

    More coming, probably :P

No offense intended here, but everything I read in your post to me, is absurdly overpowered. And I truly mean absurdly. If they give it to players, they also give it to the enemy mobs, and I don't want the enemy mobs having these. But that is just me.

Can you imagine a hobgoblin loremaster that cats blur on ALL of it's nearby friends all at once? Just one example, and others can feel free to post more.

If I lost 25% of my health THAT FAST, and compounded by the fact I am probably be getting that from multiple mobs, can you say dead tank before a heal can be cast?

True, they seem to be overpowered on a second glance:P. However i dont want monsters to have these abilities . I cant have fast regen and 10k hp so they should not get my abilities .

The sequencer for automation is indeed overpowered, but perhaps can do well with some other way such as spell sets like we have weapon sets, pop ups like resist energy have, some keybinding to rotate slots on a hotbar, or at least a keybinding to repeat the casting of the last spell.

Another idea would be to let you click on the ongoing effects in the examine window as if it were a hotbar.
This would let you renew the spells before they expire, not having to worry about who needs what buff.
Maybe the spells that expired can show as grayed out so you can renew them after they expire as well.
As it is now the examine window can tell which spells are yours, but it'd be fine to let you see all recent expired spells no matter who casted it.
Pushing this idea further, it'd even nicer to just drag the spells from the hotbar to an examine window and let them sit there to be clicked as needed, but either of the three ways would be good to have.

I want player housing and a new guild airship version like the one in Acute Delirium!!!

Now you can have your airship and sleep on it too!
