Game Freezing

Since they disabled the crafting hall, when I launch the DNDLauncher, it hangs after checking for the VC++ distributables. It gets to the Game Update Progress screen and never populates or updates its status.

I've tried numerous times and let it sit. Before I contact support, is anyone else getting this?

normal amount of players online so its not so common its noticeable.

This happened to me last update, and there was something I had to click on my comp to allow it to be installed, after I clicked it, it took like 2 seconds and then ran.

Please let me know if you recall what that something you clicked on was, somenewnoob. Currently downloading game to reinstall as it has been awhile anyway.

Try minimizing the launcher screen when you log in. I know it sounds a bit strange, but I had a similar prob in the past and this worked

Unfortunately I'm not even getting to login. The log shows this as the last step:

"C:\Program Files\Turbine\DDO Unlimited\raw\fr\logo\ddo_generic_teleport_screen_ 10.jpg" found. Skipping FR Loading Screen 10 installation. 7/13/2011 2:35:57 PM

I'll minimize it as soon as I see the window and see what happens, worth a shot.

you could try to move the patchclient.dll file from the turbine folder to somewere else then get ahold of the same file only for lotro patchclient.dll sadly dont know anyplace to get the lotro version of the file.

if it does not work simply put the old ddo patchclient.dll back were u toke it from C:\Program Files\Turbine\DDO Unlimited is the standard place for the file

As with most issues, solved with a reinstall. Thanks for the suggestions. If anyone else experiences this, reinstall!
